This entry-level Data Analyst position is part of GumGum’s Business Intelligence (BI) team, whose primary responsibilities include BI system development, campaign optimization and analysis of data generated from GumGum platform as well as third party system. The Data Analyst will focus their attention in many critical areas requiring complex analysis and reporting.The ideal candidate should be an enthusiastic and flexible team player, with a strong analytical and creative mind that thrives in a fast paced startup environment. 


  • Build, develop and maintain tools within the organization to analyze publisher yield, network growth, ad/platform performance in aggregate
  • Provide regular updates to management, making suggestions on ways to improve the current framework in place
  • Lead optimization initiatives with other teams including Publisher Development, Engineering, and Sales

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proficiency in SQL (Redshift & MySQL)
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • R proficiency desired
  • Recent graduate with a BA/BS, preferably in an analytical field (e.g. Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Finance) People with a Master's degree need not apply.
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • 1+ years experience with digital display advertising preferred
  • Familiarity with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), Looker, Tableau, Salesforce, etc preferred
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively. Thinking outside of the box and making logical assumptions and connections is incredibly important
