The Vice President, People Operations is responsible for driving the development and implementation of people strategies to develop exceptional employee engagement in alignment with business and cultural objectives.  This role will also ensure talent management; organizational development, and learning initiatives are rolled out and aligned with GumGum’s overarching philosophies supporting a high performance, creative and inclusive environment.



  • In consultation with business leaders develop and drive high impact People Operations programs in support of the company Mission, Values, and Strategies.
  • Coach leaders in developing organizational and leadership capabilities
  • Create and execute talent planning focused on forecasting, talent acquisition, on-boarding, development, performance management, career / succession
  • Lead the development and ongoing management of a culture that supports high performance to deliver on long-term goals
  • Oversee the development of talent acquisition strategies and implementation plans and programs to identify talent within and outside the organization for positions of responsibility. Identify appropriate and effective external sources for candidates for all levels within the organization.
  • Lead organization design activities to streamline and implement new organization structures, roles and/or processes that create speed and efficiency and support rapidly shifting business demands 
  • Lead an analysis of a talent resource plan to ensure alignment and positioning for growth
  • Partner in the development and execution of talent review and succession planning initiatives
  • Develop and deliver programs to increase manager capabilities
  • Thoughtfully communicate status of key initiatives and programs as necessary at all levels of the company


  • 10+ years of progressive PeopleOps/HR experience; experience in rapidly growing organizations a plus        
  • Proven ability to closely partner with and strong knowledge of Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Compensation, Leadership and Organizational Development, Employee Relations, and Learning and Development functions
  • Experience working in a global organization preferred                                                                         
  • Exceptional client relationship skills and demonstrated experience in developing consultative relationships at all levels, including the ability to influence decision makers
  • Confident, effective leader with a track record of success that is approachable and capable of working with people at all levels
  • Broad business acumen and ability to apply to human capital implications
  • Experience developing and leading a team
  • Proven experience in problem-solving and organizational management practices within a rapidly evolving organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills, sensitivity and adept at influencing and achieving collaboration
  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s Degree preferred
