Director of Business Operations, GumGum Sports

We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and results driven Director of Business Operations leader to manage the business operations of GumGum Sports to meet or exceed all KPI’s.  Director of Business operations is responsible for executing on all client projects and delivering advanced solutions to our clients that align with client goals.  This individual must be extremely strong on execution as well as a strategic thinker.  This individual must be obsessed with client success and how to leverage our computer vision platform to exceed client expectations.


  • Develops insights and recommendations on key strategic questions, including the expansion strategy and execution plan. Backs recommendations with competitive, data and strategic analysis.
  • Executes quickly and efficiently. Hands on when required, but constantly striving to reduce inefficiencies and manual overhead. Removes operational barriers to team success.
  • Directly manages multiple teams, and has earned their respect. Uses data to measure results, manage performance, identify opportunities, and influence the team and senior leadership.
  • Executing on all client projects and delivering advanced solutions to our clients
  • Ensure that GumGum's Sports platform is leveraged to its full capacity by all operations roles. 
  • Define KPI's and weekly status reports to measure effectiveness of all operations teams
  • Closely manage platform capacity planning & forecasting for existing and business pipeline
  • Monitor expected/actual project cost on an ongoing basis
  • Empower analyst team to maximize daily output from computer vision platform
  • Provide feedback to product on key areas for improvement along with expected efficiencies
  • Create documentation and process enhancements to prepare team for rollout of new features in the platform
  • Lead regular communication with account management team on project scoping and status of delivery
  • Coordinate with Sales to provide support/documentation to help with RFP responses
  • Empower account management team with the tools and outputs from our platform to maximize value they can deliver to clients
  • Proactively communicate scoping requirements to inform sales engagements and agreement language based on platform requirements/capabilities


  • 5 plus years of experience managing operations for a platform that supports hundreds of customers
  • Strong business operations leadership skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Experience managing a team(s)
  • Availability to travel to client meetings as needed
  • Experience with a start-up/growth company a plus
  • Must possess superb written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a highly motivated team player
  • PowerPoint, Excel and Word skills a must. Knowledge in Salesforce preferred
  • You are flexible and have the ability to adjust quickly to changing demands or strategies
  • You have a sense of urgency in everything you do
  • Experience with sports commercial rights & sales, commercial analytics, and measurement & insights companies is a plus but not required
