 This position is contingent upon successful contract award.  It may or may not be performed at a client site. The successful candidate must be willing to go onsite when required. An active Security clearance is required for this position.

What You Will Do:

The Lead CND Countermeasure Engineer  will serve as the principle technical advisor and subject matter expert for CND Countermeasure services. The consultant shall be an expert for enterprise Defensive Countermeasures. The consultant shall understand the incident detection process, particularly incident indicators and countermeasures. The Consultant shall be familiar with the utilization, configuration, and implementation of industry standard cyber defense capabilities including but not limited to web content filters, email security capabilities, IDS, IPS, HBSS, SEIM, DNS security practices, advanced log analysis, network monitoring, network flow analysis, packet capture analysis, network proxies, firewalls, anti-virus capabilities, Linux/UNIX command line, and access control lists. The Consultant shall understand the lifecycle of the network threats, attack vectors and methods of exploitation. The consultant shall understand the incident response process in accordance with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Manual (CJCSM) 6510.01 and other applicable DoD/IC directives and policies. The consultant shall understand the incident response processes and procedures to aid in the facilitation of comprehensive countermeasure procedures for collaboration and Implementation.

Qualifications You Will Bring:

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with an active polygraph 
  • Must currently possess an active DoD 8570 IAT Level II or better cyber certification (Customer requirement; no exceptions. Please note that for Security Plus, only Security + CE certifications are DoD 8570-compliant; the old Security + certification without the Continuing Education requirement is NOT DoD 8570-compliant)
