Greenberg Traurig, a global law firm, currently has an excellent full-time employment opportunity in the Immigration Department of our Mexico City office. We offer competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package. 
Position Summary:
The Immigration Clerk position will partner with immigration attorneys/paralegals to assist with all administrative aspects of immigration cases.  Candidate should be fluent in English and be able to work overtime as needed.
 
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Initiates immigration cases and ensure all documents are provided within assigned deadlines 
  • Drafts various elements of Non-Immigrant Visa (NIV) and Immigrant Visa (IV) cases, including cover/support letters, immigration forms, and supporting documents
  • Identifies issues during case production and escalates as needed
  • Reviews drafted work for accuracy
  • Conducts necessary data entry, including uploading documents received from clients and entering client details in case and document management systems
  • Assists with overflow work and performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

  • Position requires the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), professional demeanor and presentation
  • High attention to detail, outstanding organizational and analytical skills and the ability to manage time effectively
  • Be able to work independently toward team goals
  • Ability to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands
 Qualifications & Prior Experience:
  • University/College degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a law firm/office environment
  • Familiar with immigration law/processes preferred
  • Computer proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications preferred
