Practice Development Specialist

Greenberg Traurig, global law firm, currently has an excellent full-time employment opportunity in the Marketing Department of our Miami, Chicago, Boston, Minneapolis, Dallas or Washington DC office. Position Summary
The Practice Development Specialist will work closely with the global corporate practice marketing team to organize and implement a wide range of marketing, business development and communications initiatives for the firm, while working collaboratively with, and as an integral part of, the global marketing and business development team.
- Works with the Global Corporate Practice Co-Chairs and the Director of Marketing to develop and execute on strategic plans for the firm’s Global Corporate Practice
- Works with the Director, Managers and the corporate business development team to support related to proposal request and RFPs; drafts proposals and other pitch material, utilizing practice descriptions, experience databases, and client lists
- Assists with the deployment of programs and events hosted/sponsored by the firm, such as teleconferences, webinars, seminars and other events, including the development and production of marketing materials and on-site logistics
- Provides lateral integration support for new attorneys in the Global Corporate Practice
- Prepares and maintain spreadsheets for practice business development budgets and events
- Supervises the collection of relevant deal information and regularly update the firm’s matter database.
- Compiles information and draft submissions for directory and ranking publications such as Chambers & Partners, Legal 500, IFLR, various league tables, etc.
- Coordinates with third-party vendors on a variety of engagements.
- Provides excellent client service to internal and external clients
- Collaborates with marketing and other business professionals throughout the firm across functions and teams
- Works on additional special projects as needed

- Five to seven years of relevant experience in marketing or business development
- High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Marketing and business development experience at a law firm or professional services firm is preferred
