Greenberg Traurig, a global law firm, currently has an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Paralegal in our Real Estate Department in our Westchester County office.  We offer competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package.

Position Summary: 

The Real Estate Paralegal will provide organizational and practice specific assistance to attorneys in the Real Estate Department in all stages of real estate transactions and demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple priorities and work in an organized and efficient manner. 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Assists in drafting, reviewing, redlining and proofreading various documents related to real estate transactions, including escrow instructions, entity formation documents, UCC searches, and due diligence materials. 
  • Assists with post-closing matters including, but not limited to, mailings and preparation of closing binders.
  • Prepares and tracks closing checklists and the related documentation throughout the transaction.
  • Utilizes procedures to maintain and monitor files and calendar deadlines.
  • Assists with preparation and filing of various documents, including UCC financing statements, corporate organizational documents and organizational charts and amendments and closing documents.
  • Maintains timely and accurate timekeeping records.

 Skills & Competencies: 

  • The ideal candidate will be an analytical self-starter and have the ability to take ownership of projects with limited supervision. 
  • Candidates must have excellent attention to detail, must have the ability to multi-task, and work well under pressure to meet deadlines. 
  • Candidates must have strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.  
  • Flexible to work overtime as-needed, have a positive attitude and the ability to work as part of a team.  

Qualifications & Prior Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a support role or  Paralegal position with a real estate team within a law firm preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution preferred
  • Certificate from an ABA certified paralegal program preferred
  • Proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required
