Position Summary
 
The Practice Group Coordinator will be responsible for a range of communication duties that include assisting with the development of alerts, newsletters, articles, and social media content. The Practice Group Coordinator will be a self-starter, who is flexible, innovative, collaborative, resourceful and creative. The role will work directly within the Albany Government Law and Policy and Health Care Teams while working collaboratively with the global marketing and business development team managing projects and other administrative duties as needed. The role requires working well in a team environment as well as independently.
 
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Supports Government Law & policy and Healthcare National Practice Shareholders with daily operations acting as a gatekeeper and screening/reviewing emails, phone calls and other correspondence.
  • Organizes conference calls related to Albany Business Development, as well as initiates follow-up on specific action items arising from those discussions.
  • Coordinates with practice group leadership to schedule regular meetings, retreats, and conference events.  Develops agendas for meetings/events and attends and facilitates meetings/events as appropriate.
  • Coordinates private political events.
  • Works with practice group shareholders and associates to develop/prepare customized materials for prospective client presentations and respond to related prospective client requests.
  • Develops effective marketing content, including practice profiles, web content, and a broad range of print and electronic communications, including client alerts, invitations, newsletters, and announcements.
  • Helps ensure the flow of information from attorneys to marketing team, including as it relates to attorney biographies, practice area description updates, experience tracking, news and activities data, press releases, etc.
  • Monitors industry, client and legal development trends and communicates potential opportunities to marketing department and practice group leadership.
  • Collaborates with Global Marketing Team to help implement the marketing and business development initiatives.
  • Assists with a variety of other short- and long-term projects and attorney requests.
  • Exercises judgment and discretion serving as a key point of contact for clients and business colleagues as well as many public officials.

  • Candidate must be a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Position also requires the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines, effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
 
Qualifications & Prior Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Experience at a law firm or professional services firm is strongly preferred. 
  • Minimum of six years’ experience in marketing or business development.
  • High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

 

The expected annualized base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $100,000.00.  Salary will be determined based upon education, experience, job  related  factors  permitted  by  law,  internal equity,  and  market  data,  including  geographic  pay differentials in locations where market pay differs from the national average. Full time employees may  be  eligible  for  a  discretionary bonus,  health  insurance  with  an  optional  HSA,  short  term disability,  long  term  disability, dental  insurance,  vision  care,  life  insurance,  Healthcare  and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401K, vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program.    Additional voluntary  programs  include:  voluntary  accident  insurance,  voluntary  life, voluntary disability, voluntary long term care, voluntary critical illness and cancer insurance and pet insurance. Commuter and Transit programs may also be available in certain markets.
