Greenberg Traurig, a global law firm, currently has an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a  Junior - Mid Level Associate in the Financial Services Practice of our Philadelphia office. We offer competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package. 

The group does highly sophisticated and diversified work for clients that include funds, advisers, transfer agents, banks, financial institutions, and institutional investors. This position has great potential for advancement as the team is extremely busy and needs the support of an associate. 

Preferred candidates should have familiarity with private fund formation and alternative structures, and a strong working knowledge of investment company, investment adviser or broker-dealer representation, such as knowledge of the Advisers Act, Investment Company Act, FINRA regulations, and the 1934 Act and related SEC rules and regulations. Experience with respect to funds finance transactions and ERISA trustee, including directed trustee, support is a plus.

Candidates should possess a strong academic background, client management skills and superior drafting and negotiation skills. Candidates must have the skills to retain and desire to grow existing clients and relationships, including preparation of client updates on new regulatory and legal developments, analysis, critical thought, research, technical writing and client correspondence, and participation in new client development and marketing activities.


  • Admission to practice law in Pennsylvania with excellent academic credentials;
  • 3+ years of experience at a law firm, financial institution, or regulator with demonstrated financial services experience;
  • Superior writing skills, strong work ethic, great communication skills, comfort with ambiguity and outstanding interpersonal skills;
  • Experience drafting and negotiating services agreements; and
  • Willingness and desire to learn.
