Billing Specialist

Position Summary
The Billing Specialist is responsible for the accurate and efficient preparation of bills and invoices for Denver Office Billing Attorneys.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Process client bills using Pre-bill Viewer and paper bills via Aderant software
- Electronic submission of client invoices and accruals via various e-billing websites
- Research and answer accounting and billing questions
- Review and edit pre-bills in response to attorney and secretary requests
- Execute, handle and process a high volume of complex bills
- Review and verify accuracy of billing and supporting documentation as required
- Undertake special projects and ad hoc reports for manager as needed/requested
- Participate in appropriate mandatory training as necessary
Skills & Competencies
- Understanding of standard accounts payable concepts, practices, and procedures, the processes involved and related applications (i.e., Chrome River)
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter with ability to successfully adapt to changing priorities and work demands
- Ability to multi-task, organize work flow and use time efficiently

Qualifications & Prior Experience
- 3+ years of progressive experience as a Biller in a law firm environment
- Aderant software experience preferred
- Collection experience a plus
- Proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required
- Ability to work well under pressure to meet strict deadlines
- Flexibility for overtime required
The annualized salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
