JOB SUMMARY

 

The candidate shall provide engineering expertise to coordinate and monitor the repair, renovation, alteration, and maintenance of assigned facilities.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Assure the optimal functioning of building systems including mechanical, electrical, and fire/life safety through planned maintenance inspections (PMI).
  • Use AF Form 332, Base Civil Engineer Work Request, and Microsoft (MS) office to initiate and document repairs, deficiencies, alterations, and new construction.
  • Coordinate support functions (such as vendors, custodial, security, fire, safety, health and environmental, and network infrastructure).
  • Verify projects are in compliance with building codes, regulations, and life safety standards.
  • Maintain and update documents and records using automated systems.
  • Serve as the energy conservation monitor.
  • Maintain key control.
  • Respond to fire department or security forces call out.
  • Monitor custodial contract and performance.
  • Liaise between users and host base.
  • Must be fully capable of acting independently to resolve issues associated with repair and construction projects.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

 

BS Preferred.  Experience comparable to Air Force Enlisted with a military grade of E6 - E7 has been used to meet this requirement.
