JOB SUMMARY
GSI is seeking an experienced SharePoint Administrator and Developer with knowledge of WordPress to manage, customize, and enhance digital environments. The primary focus will be on administering and developing SharePoint environments, with secondary responsibilities for WordPress maintenance. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver user-friendly, scalable, and secure solutions, while maintaining both platforms in alignment with organizational goals.
LOCATION 
Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. Position will be remote, with possible onsite as requested by supervisor or customer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPNSIBLITIES 
  1. SharePoint Administration & Custom Development (Primary Focus): 
    • Manage SharePoint Sites and Solutions: Lead the administration, customization, and development of SharePoint environments, including site creation, content management, and user permissions.
    • Custom Development: Design and implement custom workflows, web parts, and applications using technologies like Power Automate and SharePoint Framework (SPFx) to enhance organizational efficiency.
    • Architecture & Optimization: Plan and structure SharePoint environments for scalability, security, and performance, including intuitive navigation.
    • Collaboration & Support: Work closely with teams across the organization to gather requirements, deliver tailored solutions, and ensure SharePoint supports internal communication and collaboration efforts.
    • Data Management & Security: Ensure secure data management, compliance with regulations, and implementation of backup and recovery processes within the SharePoint platform.
  2. WordPress Administration & Maintenance (Secondary Focus): 
    • Maintain WordPress Sites: Administer, update, and optimize WordPress websites, ensuring smooth operation, plugin compatibility, and general security standards.
    • Content Management: Update and maintain web content in line with requirements and accessibility standards, ensuring device and browser compatibility.
  3. Technical Support & Troubleshooting: 
    • Provide technical support and resolve issues for both SharePoint and WordPress environments, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to workflows, permissions, and system functionality across both platforms.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 SharePoint technologies such as SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
  • Expertise in developing custom SharePoint applications and workflows.
  • Working knowledge of WordPress development, including theme customization and plugin management.
  • Familiarity with security best practices for both SharePoint and WordPress, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Experience with other Microsoft technologies: This could include experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Azure, or Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with a variety of DevSecOps tools and technologies, such as Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, etc for assistance with other organizational technologies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in SharePoint development and administration, with solid knowledge of WordPress management and customization.
  • Strong understanding of security principles, data management, and scalability best practices for both platforms.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with non-technical stakeholders and provide technical support.

  • DoD 8570 IAT II compliant (Security+ certified preferred, etc.)
CLEARANCE
  • Must be able to pass security background check to obtain government clearance for Common Access Card (CAC)
