JOB DESCRIPTION/SUMMARY
Mechanical / Electrical/ Industrial / Process engineer with sound and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices with experience in liquid and vapor phase treatment processes. Able to identify process related problems with complex demilitarization systems and propose methods to resolve issues with minimal supervision and guidance. Must be well-versed with industry standards and codes and able to troubleshoot machinery and process, perform evaluations on systems and subsystems and recommend fixes. Roughly 75-95% of the first year will be providing on-site support at Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, PA.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities (but are not limited to)
· Perform independently on projects assigned by Project Manager/Principal. Expected to perform on entire project in an efficient and accurate manner.
· Supervise lower tiered engineers as necessary.
· Prepare design analysis and calculations as directed by Project Manager/Principal.
· Prepare process flow diagrams, CAD drawings, engineering designs for solutions and reports.
· Communicate with government customers, regulatory agencies, project managers, vendors and subcontractors.
· Perform on-site support services during repairs/maintenance of the facility. Understands the technical specifications, special provisions, and general conditions. Able to review shop drawings, change orders, perform construction observation, attend weekly progress meetings, and prepare record drawings.
· Facilitate design/quality control review.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
· Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering.
· Professional Engineers License, preferred but not required.
· Minimum four years’ experience as an Engineer in a related field
· Prefer experience in factories, industrial facilities or demilitarization facilities
· Prefer experience working with Federal Contracts.
· Able to read plans and specifications.
· Have full understanding of engineering problems and be able to apply sound engineering
