Manager - Analytics

This position will support senior search strategists working with the worlds largest brands. Day-to-day responsibilities consist primarily around conducting market research, building databases, analyzing/visualizing data, and presenting findings to clients. The role may involve building out analytics models that assist in the identification of data-driven insights and subsequent recommendations to improve digital marketing effectiveness.


The ideal candidate is an experienced marketing analyst with a sound understanding of web technologies and strategies (particularly SEO, SEM, and content marketing tactics) and experience in working within CPG, B2B or technology industries. *New York positions are specifically B2B/tech-focused.



  • Support GSIs client-specific team (*and the paid team at sister-agency GroupM) to help execute deliverables supporting evidence-based content strategy, organic search discoverability and paid promotion strategy.
  • Work with team leads to research solutions for and contribute to strategic recommendations for organic opportunities, including technical SEO, onsite SEO, content strategy guidance, and advanced keyword research.
  • Contribute to conversations with day-to-day direct clients and internal stakeholders to assess immediate and long-term needs and solve complex issues.       
  • Work with analytic and team leads to track, measure, and report on digital performance, implementation tracking, insights, and opportunity identification using Tableau and other data visualization solutions.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices and participate in weekly meetings.



  • 4+ years experience in marketing analytics
  • Advanced knowledge of Tableau (other data visualization platform experience considered).
  • Database design experience is a plus (SQL, Tableau Prep, Access, etc) Understanding how to relationally join tables with different data is required.
  • Advanced Excel.  (Standard functions such as V lookups and text manipulation functions, as well as light automation using VB and macros)
  • Text analytics experience or skills involving the application of Python models to analytics (including any machine learning) would be amazing but not required.
  • Curious, self-reliant, and a natural problem solver who is proactive in reaching out to internal stakeholders with questions and guidance needs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and in a team environment to execute assigned deliverables in a prompt and efficient manner.
  • Committed to going the extra mile to make both internal and external clients happy and take pride in your work. 
  • Working knowledge of search engines, how they work, and the factors involved in rankings is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in marketing, communications, advertising, analytics, or related field preferred.
