IT Specialist
Location: Bethesda, MD

This position is based in
Bethesda, MD.

Responsibilities:
- Primary areas of responsibility include:
LAN/WAN environments, firewalls, VPN, voice networks, operating systems, Internet and Intranet services, Office 365 administration, backups on-premises and within cloud environments, administration and management of Microsoft products, and computer operations.
- Participate in Tier 1 Help Desk support, including initial diagnosis of technical issues and communication with end users.
- Support user account administration (Active Directory and Office 365), including adding, updating, and terminating user accounts according to an established process.
- Perform new device configuration and deployment (workstations and mobile devices) for end users.
- Provide outstanding end user support, assuring our end users that we are always looking out for them.
- Work with Tier 2 specialists to resolve issues on-site at the Bethesda office.
- Develop and maintain documentation for the internal IT knowledgebase.
- Stay current on future trends in corporate infrastructure, always looking towards improvement.

Requirements:
- Relevant degree or certifications in computer science or information technology, or 3 years’ related work experience.
- Must have experience with management and administration of Microsoft products, including Office 365, Active Directory.
- Must have experience configuring and deploying Windows/Mac workstations.
- Must be comfortable interacting regularly with end users and service providers.
- Must be comfortable performing internal Executive support.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- May require some after-hours support to include weekend work.

Desired Certifications:
- Network+, Security+, CCNA, MSCE, Windows/Linux
