ABOUT US

The GroupM Data & Analytics Services team combines ad-tech and mar-tech strategy with data science & data engineering expertise to make advertising work better for clients and consumers.

Collaborating with GroupM search, social and programmatic services teams, adtech and media partners, the DAS team deploys world class analytics solutions impacting $4B+ in US Media investment across our agencies - Catalyst, Essence, MediaCom, Mindshare and Wavemaker.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for a talented Director to join our leadership team and manage the delivery of data, measurement, and advanced analytics for GroupM’s top client. In this role, you will be responsible to manage client relationships and, manage a team of highly skilled data engineers, scientists and analysts to deliver data-driven solutions to support or exceed client goals.

 As the Director, Data and Analytics, you will work with the internal Planning and Activation teams, and clients to enable the data and tech that lay the foundation for executing brand & performance marketing. You will also consult closely on the paid, owned, and earned media ecosystem to maximize customer engagements, connecting AdTech and MarTech to better understand journeys and outcomes.

 

YOUR IMPACT:

  •  Set the vision, strategy, and roadmap to deliver cutting edge data, technology and analytics solutions across a portfolio of clients
  • Partner with clients to deliver thought leadership, look for new ways to enhance, develop or execute data-driven solutions and insights through audience, measurement, advanced analytics strategy and, business analysis, driven by partners and technologies
  • Develop strategic relationships with clients by providing support to solve broad strategic marketing problems,
  • Become a trusted advisor to clients and consult on growth opportunities and identify new way to use data to solve business challenges and support growth,
  • Build & manage a team of experts in Data Strategy, Measurement/Business Analysts, Advanced Analytics and Marketing Technology specialists to deliver best in class audience, measurement strategy in collaboration with Client, Strategy, and Investment teams.
  • Manage a monthly account review to maintain high quality work and delivery.
  • Contribute to Client Growth plan through strategic and actionable inputs strengthening client relationship and satisfaction.

 

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10 years + relevant work experience in data, insights, analytics, advanced analytics and technology with expertise in digital media.
  • 3-4 years of experience managing a team of data, analytics and advertising tech & marketing tech specialists and strong management skills.
  • Bachelor’s or Graduate in Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science. Economics, Operations Research or related quantitative field.
  • Experience with digital data technologies and partners (1st and 3rd party data, data lakes, data clean rooms, identity solutions, …)
  • In-depth knowledge of integrated marketing and CRM disciplines (including primary research, online advertising, customer segmentation, targeting, direct marketing, customer care).
  • Analytical thinker knowledgeable in the online/offline digital ecosystem.
  • Experience working with business outcomes to provide optimization recommendations that go beyond front-end media metrics: Incrementality Testing, Churn Analysis, Next Best Action, Propensity Modelling, Media Mix Models, Multi-Touch Attribution, Sales/ Brand Lift Studies.
  • Experience working with programmatic data and ad serving platforms such as DCM and Sizmek and/ or trading platforms such as The Trade Desk or DV360.
  • Proven experience with SQL and experience working with at least one of the major cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS).
  • Thorough understanding of online marketing, digital metrics and programmatic media.
  • Deep knowledge of various measurement and campaign management technologies.
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations using statistical and econometric modeling techniques.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills – a demonstrated ability to mine data for relevant and actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of visual techniques for data analysis and presentation.
  • Excellent written, oral communication, project management and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Confident speaking to groups with varying analytics backgrounds and distilling complicated analytics/data concepts
