The Role:

The Media Activation team is responsible for providing thoughtful and exciting recommendations for Search, Social, Programmatic , and YouTube, owning partner relationships, and then executing those recommendations expertly. The Media Activation team leverages their mastery of each channel to make sure its recommendations are consistently excellent and innovative, and that in-channel performance and data integrity is maximized.

 

Success in this role involves providing strategic insight across a breadth of channels, helping to evolve best practice within the activation channels specifically, and leading a team (including ultimate responsibility for quality of work within this team).

 

The Supervisor lead will play an integral role in the greater media team, contributing to overall strategy and planning.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

       Develop strong relationships with clients, and key partners, leading team communications with these stakeholders

       Present media activation strategies, performance analyses, and recommendations in a clear, compelling manner

       Bring in-depth knowledge of programmatic and social platforms, operating as in-agency expert in your field of specialism, whilst showing a good understanding of the overall media landscape

       Identify new platforms, partners & integrations, evaluate these (and existing platforms) over time and maintain a POV here

       Develop thought leadership pieces & case studies to demonstrate role as an activation expert

       Uphold data integrity standards, ensuring all reporting is accurate and actionable.

       Deliver quarterly, semi-annual, or annual updates on work quality as it relates to owned workstreams

       Collaborate with the broader media team to integrate activation strategies into overall planning

       Gain a strategic understanding of the client’s business and KPIs, and how campaign optimizations meet those KPIs

       Ownership of in-channel planning and forecasting, testing, measurement, and optimization

       Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing activation team, cultivating a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence. Oversee a team of up to 5 direct reports

       Lead through vision, values, and model leadership behaviors while championing and facilitating change in a positive manner

       Provide timely and actionable feedback to the team to aid in their development

       Strong and effective communication across all levels; ability to establish and maintain effective relationships both internally and externally

       Thoughtfully craft career development plans for your reports  and contribute to the development of training materials for the department

 

 

Secondary Responsibilities:

       Proactively keep abreast of industry trends and share knowledge with team

       Search for unique sources of information to support non-traditional recommendations

       Attend mandatory Agency Training and client specific/departmental meetings

       Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to support professional growth within the team

 

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

       Minimum of five (5) years of paid search, programmatic, video and/or paid social experience

       Bachelor’s degree or relevant college certificate

       Major account/client management skills and complex paid search/digital/social campaigns

       High level of attention to detail and the ability to handle and prioritize multiple accounts

       Ability to interact in a professional manner and deal with clients face-to-face

       Experience using search/video & programmatic  advertising platforms (Google AdWords, DV360,  YouTube, The Trade Desk)

       Experience using social biddable platforms (Meta, X, Snapchat, TikTok, Pinterest)

       Experience with analytical tools (Google Analytics, Web Trends, Omniture)

       Experience with Bid Management tools (DoubleClick, Marin & Searchlight)

       High level of technical proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint) or Google Suite (Google Sheets and Google Slides)

       Technical and analytical mind set

       An up-to-date social certifications are a major asset

       French language skills are an asset
