The Growth Project Manager role is a business-critical position that is fundamental to pitch success. It’s a key role leading the operational support of Wavemaker’s international pitch responses and truly underpins the overall Global Growth (New Business) Team, and wider agency delivery. You would be responsible for leading most operational elements of multi-market pitches (typically ranging from $50M to +$1B billings) plus other day-to-day outputs of the team. The role is varied with regular (daily) stretches from ‘set piece’ deliverables to ad-hoc requests and custom pitch submissions. As such, this is a fabulous opportunity for an ambitious, proactive individual to truly excel and really fast track their career.


  • Project management of multiple multi-market pitches including:
    • Overall operational leadership from start to finish.
    • Organising complex pitch schedules and delivering to deadlines.
    • Orchestration of all talent (from junior people to the Global CEO) – ensuring team members are engaged and where they need to be.
    • Minuting pitch meetings and ensuring that actions and next steps are timeously distributed to meeting participants and key ExCo stakeholders.
    • Managing creation and development of presentations, written submissions and proposals and in the case of smaller opportunities, writing and developing RFI proposals independently.
    • Upload of proposals to sourcing/tender platforms.
    • Briefing and overseeing internal and external design on production of pitch related collateral inc. creative development of pitch films and other pitch theatre.
    • Post-pitch organisation (i.e. run evaluation surveys, sharing great work and effective filing…)
    • Strong admin and reporting.
    • Ensuring pitches remain on time and on budget.
  • Pitch Leadership:
    • The role provides opportunities to personally lead smaller multi-market opportunities.
  • Supporting the Global Growth Hub & Global Community Development:
    • Maintaining, understanding and constantly enriching our Growth Hub (global RFI, RFP, credentials, client list and case study library)
    • Manage and prioritise internal local market and external requests for information (case studies, capabilities, contacts etc.)
    • Supporting the Growth Partner’s ‘guardianship’ of the local network.


  • Great organisational skills including the appropriate prioritization of tasks.
  • A good grasp of media agency culture, experience in a media planning or media business development role desirable.
  • A proactive and results driven approach with an enthusiasm to get the job done.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, able to think on your feet and find timely solutions to challenges and roadblocks.
  • Ability to work well in a team and build strong and productive relationships with all departments in the agency to get the best work out of a pitch team.
  • Natural self-starter with strong attention to detail.
  • Brilliant time management and confidence to deliver when working under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strength in numbers.
  • Confidence in shaping content for written submissions and presentations and understanding of what constitutes clear and compelling story-telling.
  • Ability to think commercially e.g. ‘how can I sell it’, rather than ‘how can I describe it’.
