The Joint Venture team comprised of Mindshare and GTB is looking for an Associate Director, Global Business Planning Tools to support their Global Media Strategy Initiatives. In this role you will be working with a true integrated global network supporting the Ford client. Sitting within the Global Media team, the successful candidate will possess a unique set of strategic, analytical and technical capabilities; and will be responsible for the improved usage of tools and data across market teams to advance planning decisions and global campaign outcomes. Tasked with both driving adoption and best practice use of existing techniques and tools, you will also seek out and vet new technologies for implementation.  


  1. Thought leadership
  • Continual assessment of suitability of tools & technology, proprietary (e.g. Live panel, Media 4 Growth) and external, to enhance our planning and strategies
  • Provide training and support to regional and market teams queries regarding usage of tools and solutions
  • Work closely with the GTB global team to derive and integrate insights into their planning documents


  1. Partnership & Collaboration
  • Work with regional and local GTB teams to identify relevant tools to use in planning, buying and optimising their campaigns.
  • Support the activation of the HiP tool into the agency by integrating tools best suited to our planning, buying and optimising processes
  • Provide the central point for markets to understand, source training or trouble shoot on applied tools and technology
  1. Client leadership
  • Build relationships with GTB leads and client stakeholders leading to demonstrate strength of tools and their impact on Ford’s business



  • 5+ years’ relevant experience working as tools custodian in either a media agency or media research agency
  • Demonstrated analytic skills required to review and assess business tools to deliver on client objectives
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with a multitude of stakeholders
  • Hands-on experience in delivering large, multi-stakeholder projects
  • Experience in working on global business accounts or across multiple countries
  • Ability to write and present clearly at a senior client level
  • Exposure to working with different agency skill sets – account planners, communication strategists and media specialists will also be of benefit.
