Title: HR Business Partner
 
OVERVIEW: 
Reporting to the Managing Director, People, this is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring individual to work in a dynamic media agency environment and actively participate in various talent driven facets, spanning the entire employee lifecycle.

You will leverage your human resources expertise to foster a diverse and inclusive environment of engaged and purpose-driven employees. Partnering with the broader HR team and leadership teams, your value-add advisory and support will be integral in driving our strategic and operational priorities.
 
Key Accountabilities
  • As a trusted advisor to leadership teams and managers; understand business and talent needs to identify solutions to achieve objectives.
  • Collaborate on workforce planning and drive talent management strategies. 
  • Analyze HR trends and workforce data to help inform decisions.   
  • Guide people managers on talent related matters, including performance management and employee relation issues.
  • Facilitate talent-related meetings including Performance calibration sessions for fairness, consistency and alignment. 
  • Provide guidance and support to internal client group on the implementation and management of HR policies, procedures, and conflict resolution.  
  • Partners with Employee Relations with investigations and takes any necessary action, including employee terminations. 
  • Assess and provide salary recommendations for new hires and promotions.  
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits.
  • Act as a culture champion and role-model GroupM behaviors and values.  
  • Partner with leadership teams to implement initiatives that enhance employee experience and engagement. 
  • Provide coaching to junior team members, focused on their development and growth
  • Plan and execute on a HR projects and initiatives, that support GroupM objectives.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and employment legislation
 
What You Bring:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR generalist or business partner role, preferably within the media or creative industry
  • Completion of HR program or equivalent related experience.
  • Experience in planning, executing and maintaining HR projects, processes and/or initiatives.
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed organization and fast-paced environment. 
  • Thorough understanding and application of HR practices and employment laws.
  • Ability to analyze complex HR issues and apply critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated sound judgement when assessing a variety of situations.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and project planning skills.
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams; ability to learn and adapt to new software & systems.
