Role Overview

The Digital Lead role within Wavemaker Miami is an exciting opportunity which enables both personal and career growth working with multi-markets clients and experts within the business. In this role you’ll be developing digital strategical recommendations to drive growth for our clients and combining analytical & creative thinking to solve problems. 

The role sits within a core cross-client, cross-functional department that brings together all Wavemaker technology, data, and platform capabilities. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with the Strategy Director as well as with different teams from different disciplines and exercise strong storytelling skills to positively provoke our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate and lead on digital channels in strategic meetings with stakeholders.
  • Formulate digital strategy for client’s business and ensure that recommendations and decisions are consistent with client’s objectives and strategies.
  • Oversee the work of central planning and implementation teams (ad operations, search, social, programmatic) to ensure plans deliver on client objectives and deliveries are in line with agreed KPIs.
  • Lead the performances media strategy definition of Agency top Clients.
  • Lead the development, execution, and optimization of paid digital media, including display advertising, paid search, paid social and other channels with a strong focus on ecommerce.
  • Work with biddable team to create and manage paid search campaigns. Supported by biddable manager define optimization, performance analysis, landing page analysis and testing.
  • Support the strategy definition and activation of digital media advertising campaigns.
  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate performance across all channels. Communicate with the stakeholders on the performance by providing actionable insights.
  • Bring all elements and channels of paid media and use storytelling to communicate on performance.
  • Own the relationship with different vendors to roll out effective paid media campaigns and work towards on-going optimizations, delivering engaging campaigns.
  • Collaborate with other internal teams on optimizing define overall client ecommerce strategy.
  • Leverage on WM and GroupM products and capabilities to deliver innovative solutions for new business pitches and existing client business.
  • Remain well versed in new technologies and overall relevant digital trends in order to understand how to apply them strategically to WM client’s business.

Contributing to Our Relationships with US Clients

  • Positively provoke and add value to our relationships with central clients by developing communication strategies based on an extensive understanding of the consumer purchase journey.
  • Work closely with the client leadership team and other agencies to deliver integrated communication strategies.
  • Showcase a deep understanding of the consumer purchase journey, turning data into insight to come up with creative ideas that deliver business growth.

 

Working on New Business Pitches

  • Support the team to help tackle multi market new business pitches.
  • Ability to flex across all the requirements of a new business pitch (insight, strategy, and ideas).

Idea Generation for US Clients

  • Support the team on new briefs with creative media first ideas based on strong insight.
  • Articulate the creative idea in a clear way and media oriented, delivering slides ready to present.
  • Use data to strengthen the case for the creative idea.
  • Help foster an ‘award winning’ culture by showcasing great award-winning work and helping the agency focus on creating and submitting excellent work for awards.
  • Be constantly curious. Read lots, share lots. Challenge perspectives. Contribute to debate.
  • Have fun: We are at our best when coming to work is fun!Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in a media agency, or experience managing or being a part of a brand’s digital team.
  • Strong activation (Media buying or delivery) experience in at least one channel, this may have been social, programmatic or display.
  • Strong understanding of Platform and Programmatic ecosystems, as well as the biddable ecosystem.
  • Advanced understanding of digital advertising and associated technological principles (e.g. ad serving, tagging, web analytics (GA), attribution, etc.)
  • An expert in digital marketing and analytics – know how to “read” data, not just look at it.
  • B2b experience a plus.
  • Strong understanding of Audience based planning.
  • Established media systems knowledge (Pathmatics, Symphony, Sizmek, DCM, MOAT, Nielsen and Excel)
  • Expertise in digital strategy and communications planning.
  • Understand data-driven marketing and build use cases for your clients.
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking with strong communication skills. Spanish welcome, not mandatory.
  • The ability to simplify the complex without becoming simplistic.
  • Superb written, ppt and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrate sharp, strategic thinking and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Degree in advertising, marketing, business administration or management preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft suite proficiency, in particular focus on excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong team player.

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $75,000 to $180,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
