Senior Associate, Pricing Strategy

OVERVIEW
As the Senior Associate, Pricing Strategy, you'll play a pivotal role in new business pitch pricing projects, ensuring GroupM agencies produce the most compelling and competitive media pricing commitments for new and renewing clients, across all media types. Working closely with our investment leadership and individual media channel pricing experts, you will facilitate and methodically oversee the end-to-end process to ensure the successful completion of our pricing submissions, and lead efforts to standardize and optimize the overall approach.
YOUR IMPACT
- Project manage and coordinate media pricing submissions for new business pitches, collaborating with internal teams and consultants.
- Create workplans at the onset of pitches to communicate timelines, assign roles and responsibilities, formalize strategies, and establish savings targets/value levers.
- Own progress trackers to provide transparency to broader teams and leadership.
- Partner with investment and research teams to conduct in-depth research on clients and their category verticals, enabling custom pricing proposals.
- Support the new business pitch preparation by working with respective media channel leads to populate templates according to specific requirements.
- Oversee pitch pricing databases and dashboards, so teams can leverage past learnings and market benchmarks to maintain competitive pricing.
- QA pricing submission inputs and generate summaries for leadership briefing and approval, featuring our value proposition, projected savings, and potential risks.
- Actively seek ways to improve and streamline procedures for optimal outcomes and reduced strain on business teams.
- Additional projects within functional specialization may be assigned, including the collection of media market inflation data.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years work experience in media and advertising industry, preferably at an agency or consultancy.
- Experience in new business, media buying, or media auditing role is a plus.
- Bachelor's Degree in Advertising, Marketing, Economics or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with various advertising platforms and channels, including Linear (Traditional TV), Online Video, Streaming, Display, Search, Social, Out-of-Home, Audio, and Print.
- Ability to collaborate and engage with a large group of stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and interact with senior management.
- Proficiency in juggling multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing projects and meeting deadlines, with competence to adapt to changing environments and requirements.
- Exceptional organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
- Adept in data collection and analysis, and capability of analyzing information to formulate informed decisions and recommendations in a clear and simple way.
- Understanding of corporate strategy, common media industry terminology, and buying practices.
- Expertise in MS Office Applications, data visualization and cross-tabbing tools.

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $45,000 to $100,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
