About the Team:

Connections+ design connections strategies that create meaningful interactions between people and brands, providing the critical foundation for how we can be agile, and brands can thrive. Its responsibility is to link the business strategy to a communication strategy and translate the communications strategy into an optimal and integrated framework that identifies the key elements (e.g., channels, content formats) that are needed to bring the plan to life. Its ultimate ambition is to tangibly and effectively articulate how consumers will experience the brand across all communication touchpoints, in a way that adds value to the brand, the consumer, and culture.


About the Role:

The Associate Director, Connections+ creates a unique, intimate partnership with the relevant internal and client functions. Working with the Managing Director, they will identify transformational business and consumer insight, mixed with creativity, to feed the design of actionable communication strategies that inform and inspire how, when, and where the consumer will experience the brand.



Your Impact:

  • Must establish themselves as a true business partner in clients’ business with knowledge of clients’ business needs, issues, opportunities, and imperatives
  • Dissect the brief to identify and align on the real challenge and opportunity for communications, in direct partnership with different internal teams and client brand, media and research teams
  • Work with and help to integrate planning and executions teams in developing and rolling out digital go to market approach and apply best in class ways of working
  • Have knowledge of data-driven, audience-first strategy rooted in the acceleration of data and real-time optimization that delivers profitable result
  • Ensure audience and data-driven marketing efforts are integrated into digital and 360 strategies for advanced test and learn opportunities.
  • Identify digital channels and tactics that align with the audience strategy, and that will deliver performance-based outcomes.
  • Deliver thought leadership to senior client partners, co-advising on digital approach across display, video, paid search and social.
  • Create understanding of the customer journey/decision-making development
  • Unearth, synthesize, and align the most critical and transformational insights across brand, category, culture and communications
  • Create actionable, strategic communications platforms that support the creative idea and all elements of communications
  • Design and visualize the supporting communications framework for how the strategies will be deployed, requiring:


  • Identification of the most impactful media touchpoints, their specific role and how they should be measured
  • Identification of moments of receptivity that will help our advertising break through
  • Identification of cultural and competitive agility triggers that will help our brands activate in real time
  • Identification of breakthrough media ideas, media innovation priorities and media partnerships


  • Cascade communication strategies to internal disciplines responsible for its deployment and activation
  • Conduct regular check-ins with the activation and measurement teams to keep ahead of new learning and insight that may inform how to make improvements to the strategy

Your Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in communications/engagement strategy, brand strategy, or account planning
  • A track record of collaboration leading to results
  • Demonstrated creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Confident and compelling story-telling, both written and verbal
  • Effective application of different types of data feeds to build a story
  • Familiarity with communications planning frameworks
  • Familiarity with the fundamentals of business planning (e.g. media fundamentals, consumer segmentation, customer journey, measurement models, budget setting etc.)
  • Exposure to insight tools and business planning tools
  • Experience mining for insights and creating strategies across markets
  • A student of media and communications, versed in emerging and established platforms
  • Working in close partnership with industry leading media partners
  • Contribute to alignment and strategic oriented workshops with clients and agency partners
  • Experience of working with tight deadlines and under pressure
