ABOUT THE GLOBAL TEAM:
Our New York team is a new addition to the global account and part of Mindshare WW. It will collaborate closely with our Global hub in Portland, OR. We lead strategy, innovation, thought leadership and global partnerships. We connect to regional hubs in Amsterdam, Shanghai and Tokyo.  With local teams in 36 countries around the world, we form one, connected team.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
This is a leadership role in the communications planning team. You will be a new world strategist, responsible for turning the data and signals into meaningful and differentiating strategies for categories, specifically serving global briefs.

You will be creating the future strategic direction for Nike communications and drive innovative thinking in ground-breaking global campaigns.

You will need to fresh thinker, a whole-brainer, a collaborator and tenacious in your desire to do great work.

Specifically, this role is to lead the work across key global campaigns at sporting tent poles. The person will work closely with the Category Director.

The core of the role will be:

DATA STORYTELLING & STRATEGY

        Collaborate with the Insights & Analytics team to define and refine Customer and Prospect Data Strategy

        Partner evaluation, selection, integration, etc.

        Conduct research and studies to fill in any data and analysis gaps with a focus on human motivation and conscious/sub conscious decision making

        Integrate disparate data sources and analyses to distill human truths to inform media, messaging, and content strategies

        Lead Brand Statement Strategy

        Collaborate on Category Defining Campaign Strategy

        Lead Campaign Strategy Updates/Presentations

MEDIA LEADERSHIP:

          Collaborate on Media Landscapes

          Collaborate on Nike Planning Projects

          Collaborate on Ad hoc Planning Projects 

          Lead Mindshare Team Nike Planning Product across the network

MEDIA INNOVATION:

         Work closely with media and creative teams to ensure the  integration of insights and human truths into briefs, and execution

         Weave data points into consumer journeys to increase brand relevance and impact

 

The role will be based in New York and require travel to our geo hubs in Portland, Amsterdam, Shanghai, Singapore and Tokyo when needed.

ABOUT YOU:
Ultimately, we need someone who is a world-class media planner, ideally with a record of success. Typically, they will have 8+ years of experience across multiple media markets, cultures and environments.

The right person will be comfortable working with data, insights and tech platforms. You will get how digital media fits into a broader communications framework and inherently understands our consumer because they have the same mindset.

But rules are there to be broken and the right person will be smart, driven and excited by the challenge of working with the world’s #1 sports brand. If you think that might be you, we want to hear from you.
