Role Summary & Impact

Our Investment teams bring holistic media plans to life. They work in conjunction with our planning teams and are responsible for the negotiating and purchasing of media – across both linear and digital platforms including premium video, mobile, and OTT. As the Client Investment Lead, you will be the face of your team and your client to corporate leadership, manage the client relationship from a day-to-day standpoint, and provide support and guidance to your team. Through effective partnering with Planning, Analytics, Operations, and other teams, you will maintain a deep understanding of the objectives and challenges of your client(s) and provide direction to junior staff on how to best meet those objectives.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Work with Corporate Leadership to develop and roll out to market approach and apply best-in-class systems.
  • Drive consistent process and approach to marketplace dealings and cascade to teams.
  • Facilitate communication between Investment and Analytics/Planning/Operations to bring client strategies to life and execute campaigns seamlessly.
  • Drive client and GroupM approach forward in the marketplace across the vendor community.
  • Actively evaluate and benchmark the marketplace to drive YOY efficiencies and value for the client.   
  • Provide thought leadership to senior client partners, advising on holistic media approach across linear and digital including search, social and programmatic as needed.
  • Develop POVs for new innovations and opportunities across the media landscape and provide strategic insight.
  • Foster development and growth of the Investment team staff.
 
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, business administration, and communications; OR equivalent professional work experience.
  • 8+ years of prior media investment experience desired.
  • Experience managing and mentoring junior staff.
  • Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with a wide variety of media partners as well as internal departments,
  • Demonstrated ability leading a media investment team.
  • Successful client relationship-building experience.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical reporting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to present to clients and leadership at all levels.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel with intermediate PowerPoint and Word skills.
  • Strong understanding of the current media landscape.

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $100,000 to $230,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
