Overview

The Nexus Media Solutions, Director, Account Services is responsible for always delivering exceptional service to GroupM agencies. This includes working closely with the agency team & clients to understand their needs, providing timely responses to any requests. You will play a pivotal role in developing strategies (across Advanced TV, Programmatic and Digital OOH) to deliver on clients’ business goals, while identifying and engaging growth opportunities. Working alongside digital & client leadership, you will guide and direct a team of strategists to lead cross-departmental work streams and communication externally with the client, but also internally with Strategy, Planning, Direct Investment, Trading and Analytics to facilitate best-in-class programmatic execution and service to clients. In addition to team leadership, you'll contribute to practice-level thought leadership, responsible for higher-level programmatic deliverables including SWOTs, QBRs, POVs and account-level programmatic roadmaps. Your objective will be to manage existing key relationships with both agencies and clients. You will be providing expertise and guidance on complicated campaigns and managing existing business relationships in line with the execution of operational excellence and best practices.  You will act as a thought leader and strategic thinker, helping to evangelize a digital first approach within GroupM, your advertiser clients and the digital media ecosystem. You will meet regularly with team leads and senior executives from our agencies and industry partners to discuss our unique approach, apply key insights to address client business challenges, and identify new opportunities for joint success. You will be approachable and authoritative, able to engage all levels of agency management with conviction and poise.  This role will be crucial to ensuring Account Managers provide proper campaign management throughout the campaign lifecycle. This includes designing campaigns appropriately to meet client KPIs, ensuring campaigns launch on time, monitoring campaign delivery and packaging up end of campaign reporting.  

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities are as follows:

          Manage the Team within agency of focus – Ensure Managers, Senior Associates, and Associates are tasked, motivated and communicating well with agency and other internal teams. Oversee central tasks across the team, ensuring the team is following relevant processes. Responsible for understanding the Nexus Media Solutions products and roadmap.

          Ensure Campaign Success – Ensure that all internal and external teams provide what is needed to get the campaign live.  Ensure that team properly monitors performance and delivery of KPIs and takes action in the event of under-performance (serving as an escalation point for team if issues arise). Monitor the commercial success of each campaign and ensure agency is kept informed of campaign status throughout the campaign.

          Maintain Agency Relationships Foster strong working relationships with agency team & manage their expectations. Ensure the agency receives a high level of client service. Serve as a point of escalation for agency if issues arise. Strong communicator, experienced and comfortable taking the lead in client meetings . Meet regularly with all levels of agency partners to identify and qualify business opportunities, evaluate service levels, and establish and monitor KPIs and performance metrics of Nexus Media Solutions campaigns.

          Thought Leadership – Act as an education resource for both agency teams and client to provide latest and greatest across the digital landscape. Provide strategic input and advice in developing programmatic solutions to meet our agencies/clients’ marketing goals  Proactive ideator, bringing new and innovative ideas for driving client results 

          New Business Support -  Support new business teams with RFP, thought leadership, and pitch support while also Identify new business opportunities with existing agency clients 

          Digital Space Knowledge - DSP/SSP/Brand Safety/AI partner expertise and knowledge of how to strategically connect the best of our technology offerings to lean into the client’s business objectives and mode of optimization.  

          Team Leadership: Ensures your team are well-educated in the digital space & the tools and capabilities of DSPs and relevant vendors, and that this knowledge is applied efficiently and creatively. Evaluates and develops talent of his/her staff to deliver highest levels of service in a rapidly-adapting environment. Mentor professional growth via advising on how best to apply Nexus Solutions to deliver KPI-beating solutions, to address client concerns, and to deepen agency relationships

 

What You Bring

 

·           8+ years’ experience in the digital marketing/advertising industry with a deep understanding of digital marketing goals and best practices

·           5+ years’ experience in programmatic/advanced tv/DOOH strategy and/or activation required

·           4+ years’ experience of building and leading an account management or client services function within an agency, network or ad tech company

·           Prior experience in managing a team, overseeing multiple accounts, and ability to balance deliverables in a timely fashion

·           Proven knowledge of audience profiles and online ad targeting, agency dynamics, industry technology, campaign pricing models and metrics

·           Familiarity with advanced programmatic optimization strategies to deliver against performance KPIs and budget growth

·           Exceptional communication skills, with an ability to understand and communicate complex technology and business concepts quickly to a variety of audiences

·           Strong analytical abilities and quantitative skills, including math proficiency

·           Experience within programmatic trading platforms preferred to be able to navigate around campaigns, audience libraries, planning tools, but not needed to have full hands-on-keys experience of campaign set up and optimization (The Trade Desk, Xandr, Amazon DSP, DV360, Yahoo)

·           Ability to interact with people at all levels of an organization, fostering strong cross-functional teamwork
