THE ROLE:

The Digital Ad Verification Team is a central operations team responsible for brand safety and operations for IBM. The team plays a critical role in the proper execution and fulfillment of IBM paid media including the verification of delivery per IBM requirements. The group is responsible for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting, inclusion/exclusion list management, category/keyword avoidance, and the development of brand safety position papers and educational pieces. The Ad Verification Team also manages third-party ad verification technology/relationships and the application of that technology to meet IBM business needs, as well as oversees the development and utilization of IBM’s proprietary ad verification reporting tool.

The Ad Verification Associate is the ambassador of ad verification and operational processes and is expected to provide strategic insights and support across all teams domestically and globally. The Associate is expected to have a complete and clear understanding of IBM’s third-party verification and brand safety & suitability needs. This includes being well-versed in the requirements for the brand and understanding the tools used to track and enforce those requirements. In addition, the Associate must have a clear understanding of IBM operating procedures and key campaign processes such as media billing. The position reports to the Associate Director, Ad Verification and Operations.

 
YOUR IMPACT:

  • Day-to-day management of ad verification tasks including the inclusion/exclusion list process, advising team of appropriate campaign set-up, monitoring and enforcing brand safety & suitability requirements, investigating discrepancies and/or potential areas of exposure, and working to resolve issues / find solutions
  • Assist in the production of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports including reviewing QA results and working with teams, as well as media partners, to address issues
  • Provide inputs to/ write highlights for reports, which summarize findings from weekly/monthly deliverables and help inform optimization recommendations
  • Partner with ad verification providers to understand their capabilities and ensure effective application based on client business needs
  • Support and help with training team members on Ad Verification basics and media buying best practices
  • Evaluate other ad verification providers, platforms, and technologies to assist in the development of POVs
  • Demonstrates close working relationship and integration across teams including direct investment, analytics, ad operations, and technology in order to facilitate timely and accurate delivery of media buys


YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Entry level to 1 year of relevant media experience (agency, operations, account management)
    • Digital experience is a huge plus
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, vlookups, etc. is a must
  • Knowledge of media tools and procedures is preferred (e.g. Prisma/MediaOcean)
  • Experience with Ad Servers and Ad Verification companies such as: Google Campaign Manager, DoubleVerify, Integral Ad Science, Oracle Data Cloud - Moat/Grapeshot is a huge plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to take initiative, problem-solve, and follow tasks to completion
  • Passion for technology and desire to develop expertise within the digital verification space is a must
