JOB DESCRIPTION 

Position:          Accounts Payable Coordinator  

Location:         New York, NY 

Position Overview 

The Accounts Payable Coordinator functions as the accounts payable point of contact for a business unit or a set of vendors, working within the Controllers Group. 

Responsibilities 

  • Code and batch invoices for processing by business unit / agency
  • Review invoices to ensure the vendor is active, vendor record is up to date and confirm the invoice is not a duplicate
  • Monitor queues in the document management system to follow up on issues that need to be resolved, working with the business unit / agency where necessary
  • Assist with the processing of intercompany invoices
  • Audit invoices and research unusual transactions; bring inconsistencies and problems to the attention of management as required
  • Assist with wire initiating in the banking portal
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis
  • Adhere to GroupM / WPP policies & procedures to maintain compliance with section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act

YOUR QUALIFICATION: 

  • 2 years of accounts payable experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or Perceptive ImageNow preferred but not required
  • Good technical and analytical skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to work with people across multiple disciplines
  • Ability to manage time and stress levels and work calmly under pressure

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $35,000 to $75,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
