Position at Wavemaker

As a key member of the digital eRetail team, reporting to the Digital Director, you will be responsible for leading eRetail brand businesin partnership with your Planning counterparts.  This role will work closely with the Planning, Data Science, & Data/Activation leads to facilitate superior product/deliverables for your clients, with effective, streamlined processes that get us there

You will primarily interface with brand media and marketing teams at L’Oreal.


  • Thought LeadershipAs digital leader, provide a consistent and strong POV to clients.  Act as a strategic resource and guide to them on their current state and future opportunities in digital, both through in-person communication and via written documents/POVs.
  • Client ManagementIn partnership with planning leads, develop constructive and collaborative relationships with media and marketing teams.  Work as their partner and collaborator in steering the business in the right direction from a digital perspective.
  • Team Development: Build a growing digital team at WM, educating/mentoring, fostering growth, and reinforcing a strong team mentality.
  • Partner Management & Ideation: Work with key media partners to develop unique opportunities and/or identify key initiatives for potential programs.
  • Digital Process: in partnership with Digital and Activation Leads, identify opportunities for workflow improvement, and implement within the team.
  • Insights & Learnings: support and partner with the Data Science team in streamlining and standardization of reporting and gathering of insights.  Ensure insights are strategically applied to future efforts for the brand and packaged consistently and productively for clients.  Work collaboratively on learning agendas for the brand(s), as well as partner-specific initiatives. 
  • Portfolio Strategies: Identify and capitalize on trends for the brand(s), working with Digital and Data Science leads to apply broader LUSA learnings as relevant at the category, brand, or product level.  Develop guidelines and strategies that can apply both to the brand’s overall business and to individual campaigns.


  • 7+ years of media management experience
  • 2+ years managing eCommerce media
  • Skilled at leading client conversations and managing significant client responsibilities
  • Collaborative; willing to work in partnership with planning lead to guide the business
  • Strong and established digital proficiency across a variety of approaches and tactics
  • Able to share a strong POV on key industry and digital media questions
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate sharp, strategic thinking and effective problem-solving skills
  • Appropriately and openly participate in team, agency, and industry initiatives
  • Demonstrate genuine curiosity and interest in our clients & their business
