Overview:
The Associate Director will own the relationship and work output for a selection of clients. With a focus on content partnerships and influencer marketing, this position involves developing a deep understanding of our clients’ business to identify and provide strategic recommendations. Identifying the right media partners for our clients’ briefs, developing unique and creative media concepts, pitching strategic ideas to clients, proving effectiveness, and providing analysis and recommendations for future partnerships.
This position provides day-to-day oversight of the management of content/media partnerships across several platforms including broadcast, digital and audio, while also managing creator/influencer marketing partnerships in facilitation with the extended influencer marketing team resource that exists within the agency.
Your Impact:
Clients:
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert on all issues relating to media partnerships and influencer marketing.
  • Provide direct, day-to-day leadership and strategic direction on all aspects of the client’s media partnership and influencer marketing initiatives.
  • Deeply understand the client’s business(es)
  • Oversee the team’s project management efforts, ensuring critical milestones are met and progress is reported in a timely manner.
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in the media partnership and influencer marketing space including new opportunities, formats, platforms, measurement, etc.
  • Build relationships with client(s) and partners to identify new opportunities to grow agency revenue
  • Manage work plans, client expectations, partner relationships, measurement, and reporting tools to ensure flawless execution.
  • Lead partnership negotiations on behalf of client, deliver value-added services and establish a key point of differentiation relative to competitors
  • Based on feedback and direction from clients, fully develop individual concepts to execution-ready status, including creative considerations, budgets, and related media support
  • In collaboration with internal teams, ensure strong alignment on overall client marketing objectives
  • Lead the creation of media partnership and/or influencer plans and the identification of KPIs / measurement plans
  • Leverage media partner and internal resources to deliver complete and effective reporting to clients
  • Develop strong client relationships and a detailed client contact and relationship strategy
  • Establish a deep knowledge of the clients to proactively identify ways to build business
  • Identify strategic opportunities and develop initial concepts against key marketing and media initiatives
  • Develop strong collaborative relationships with all partner agencies. Provide point of view and strategic and creative input into the development of programs initiated at partner agencies
  • Review client briefs and identify business solutions that relate to media partnerships
  • Monitor and ensure consistency of client service across the client base
  • Lead the submission for relevant awards, and the creation of all submission materials
  • Facilitate and manage content production opportunities with the extended agency resource and any 3rd parties.
Team & Business:
  • Manage Content Partnership Team (1+ direct reports)
  • Develop direct reports into high performing cohesive team through regular performance reviews, development of goals, training, etc.  
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection of staff as we grow
  • Work with the Director to improve talent and competence levels within team
  • Ownership of Content team forecast and revenue while ensuring targets are met
  • Contribute to annual business planning

Your Education and Experience:
  • 8+ years in media partnership/sponsorship space with experience developing and packaging services to reflect evolving client needs and revenue targets
  • Thorough understanding of media landscape, key trends
  • Significant experience operating successfully, in a complex multi-stakeholder environment
  • Team management experience
  • Established network across the media industry
  • A combination of Agency/Media Partner experience would be considered an asset  
  • French language competency an asset but not required
