Program Manager, Future Talent Internships
GroupM is highly committed to growing the talent of our future. We have invested significantly in GroupM University and an award-winning associate hiring and development program called Launch Pad. To support these initiatives, it is critical to expand our internship programing to be a win-win solution.  GroupM will leverage the internship programs to build talent pipelines and support the recruiting efforts while the experience will introduce rising stars in the industry to technical and business skill set needed for early career success. The program manager is responsible for holistic, cross-functional organization and planning of the program. They also serve as the primary support and liaison with program participants, helping them to navigate the organization and consider their new career in the media industry. The program manager will design, execute, and manage recruitment strategies to attract prospective new talent for the internship program. Additionally, the program manager will design, execute, and manage an internship engagement plan for both new interns and returning interns with a focus on retention and conversion. Finally, they will engage in regular program review, ensuring continued improvement, long-term growth, and success of this critical and innovative program.  
 
 
YOUR IMPACT 
 
Program Planning 
  • Provides oversight of quality and accuracy for yearly program planning calendar; ensures a data-driven approach to scheduling Intern offerings for the full-time summer internship program and part-time year-round program for continuing summer interns  
  • Identifies areas for programmatic and curricular growth and improvement; develops and implements an improvement/growth plan, working in conjunction with Talent Acquisition & GroupM Learning team to create and deliver on program changes 
  • Assembles and manages the team towards appropriate deadlines for all instances of the Intern program. 
  • As needed, assists the Talent Acquisition team with the recruitment and evaluation of program participants; assists the Learning team with recruitment, training, and evaluation of program facilitators  
Program Execution and Participant Engagement 
  • Responsible for ensuring participant adherence to all policies and program requirements; ensures participant attendance and participation in all required activity and serves as the first point of contact for any questions related to requirements and compliance.  
  • Works closely with the Talent Acquisition and People Planning functions to review participant profiles and ensure that individuals are matched to appropriate positions. Serves as the first point of contact with hiring managers to onboard them to the program, communicate expectations, and provide regular follow-up 
  • Liaises with People Planning, Learning, and Effectiveness and communicates opportunities for career and professional development, helps coordinate resources, problem solves, and identifies solutions for participant issues; provides guidance to participants and managers on administrative processes 
  • Serves as key resource for ongoing, proactive communication by: 
  • Partnering with the Learning team to identify potential at-risk placements 
  • Holding regular check-ins with both interns and hiring managers 
  • Fielding and appropriately addressing or redirecting manager feedback 
  • Coordinating with HRBPs and Employee Resources to address potential employee or manager concerns 
  • Collect and analyze feedback from interns, supervisors, and stakeholders to assess the effectiveness of program metrics, including internship performance, engagement, and satisfaction. 
  • Tracking and ensuring participation of managers and participants in performance activities, including goal setting, career conversations, EOY assessment, and appropriateness for promotion 
  • Collaborating with hiring managers to identify potential full-time employment opportunities for high-performing talents.  
Ongoing Support 
  • Works closely with GroupM Learning and Effectiveness to build a culture of continuous assessment, using data to drive the formal program review. Leads regular program post-mortems and ensures lessons learned are actively integrated into program planning and implementation moving forward. 
  • Researches and conducts annual competitor analyses of summer internship programs to remain a best-in-class media internship program including future scaling opportunities to increase conversion pipelines for full-time associate roles 
  • Communicates with the rest of the business about ongoing improvements and opportunities within the internship program. Implement enhancements to optimize the internship program.  
  • Serves as a key champion of the program both within and outside of GroupM; works with other leaders to develop, manage, and retain industry relationships in support of the program and students 
  • Works closely with the marketing team to create and execute strategic enrollment plans for the Program, actively participating in events to meet Program enrollment goals  
  • Develops strategies to engage past interns and maintains long-term connections with internship alumni. Implement initiatives such as alumni events, mentorship programs, and networking opportunities to foster continued engagement. 
  
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Prior relevant experience in program management or student services 
  • Prior emerging/early talent recruitment experience to include campus recruitment 
  • Prior experience designing, executing, and managing recruitment and engagement strategy for a summer internship and/or early careers program 
  • Prior experience creating/designing recruitment marketing collateral  
  • Comfort and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and MS TEAMS is a plus  
  • Knowledge of Jobvite or another Applicant Tracking System, Handshake, and/or interest in technology (ATS, data & analytics) is a plus 
  • Curiosity and eagerness to constantly improve processes and deliverables. Proven record of seeking out and exploring new solutions. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain professional relationships and excellence in customer service 
  • Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional and matrixed project contexts 
  • Quick problem-solver with a passion for continuous learning 
  • Full-cycle project management experience a plus 
  • Ability to travel locally or domestically as needed to assist with recruitment-related events including virtual events is a plus   
  • Knowledge of media / advertising a plus.

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $60,000 to $140,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
