OVERVIEW:

GroupM US, the largest market within the GroupM global network, is looking for a detail-oriented strategic thinker to support and evolve the ongoing new business and growth opportunities across the organization. This position reports directly to the Head of Strategy and Engagement, North America, and will have broad reach working with key stakeholders in the Growth, Marketing, and Finance communities, as well as agency leadership. You will support the overall growth ambitions of GroupM’s award winning agencies, Wavemaker, Mindshare, and EssenceMediacom.

In this role, you will partner with senior leadership across the organization to refine the regional New Business and Growth strategy, frameworks, and approach. This role is responsible for conducting growth analyses and deriving insights that inform strategic and business initiatives. You will help drive growth across the US GroupM agency network by identifying commerical opportunities, assessing viability and fit, and managing the pursuit of those that are aligned to GroupM’s overall strategy.

As part of the strategy and new business community in North America, you will also support ongoing commercial development necessary to achieve our growth goals.

As a critical contributor to our growth within GroupM, you will:

  • Take an analytical approach to growth and planning
  • Evolve and manage strategic project and new business frameworks
  • Conduct growth analyses and draw key insights for the business
  • Manager overall progress and health of projects
  • Track and maintain status of milestones and deliverables across the growth portfolio
  • Support the commercial strategy and development process along with financial information about the budget, forecast, actuals, profitability, etc.
  • Identify and track the resolution of project risks and progress on mitigating these risks
  • Direct the utilization of cross-functional enterprise resources
  • Work directly with the C-level leaders of growth, marketing, and business units
  • Employ a systematic, transparent approach to program oversight and management
  • Maintain control over quality and accuracy by asking questions frequently
  • Manage and simplify complex initiatives or projects on a cross functional team
  • Frequently partner with a wide variety of stakeholders across multiple operating companies and business units

  • Continued development and refinement of the ongoing new business process and frameworks
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and execution of a strategic, growth-oriented business development agenda
  • Support organizational decision making around resource and focus allocation related to new business
  • Effective support of the growth portfolio and new business initiatives as identified

  • Direct involvement with some of the largest new business and growth opportunities available to the largest media agency in the world
  • High level of visibility and interaction with agency executive leaders and company-wide leaders

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 4 years of work experience
  • Ability to tell complex narratives in a simple and compelling way
  • Proven work experience as a Project Management Officer or similar role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to details and technicalities
  • Excellent organizational and technical abilities
  • Good interpersonal and multi-tasking skills
  • Passion for developing an ecosystem that makes advertising work better for people
  • Understanding or passion for media investment, ad tech and agency ecosystem
  • Expert in Microsoft Productivity Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Visio)
  • Experience with program management enabling tools (e.g., Wrike, Asana, SmartSheets, Monday.com, Project)
  • Experience in management consulting, or in new business/growth functions a plus

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $75,000 to $180,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
