THE ROLE:

The Associate Director, AI&I is responsible for Digital/Direct research, analysis, and insight generation for cross-industry client groups. This position advances the understanding of online and direct marketing dynamics through developing critical business insights across our clients to increase their ROI on media investments.

The ideal candidate will be designing, implementing, executing, and refining these models as well as staying ahead of industry trends and new solutions. The ideal candidate will be passionate about problem-solving and constantly exploring ways to improve on our current offering.

You will be responsible for running projects helping to answer complex strategic questions using data; for persuading our clients to follow the right data-driven strategy; developing advanced analytical models as well as staying abreast with latest analytical techniques and marketing technology ecosystems. The ideal candidate will be passionate about problem-solving and constantly exploring ways to improve on our current offering.

YOUR IMPACT:

  • Utilize and advance proprietary models that identify linkages between all conversions and all media drivers.
  • Working closely with clients and account teams to assess business and marketing challenges, discuss possible solutions, and execute a plan.
  • Data visualization and advanced reporting: Assist with moving away from Excel-centric reporting by contributing to the design and implementation of interactive, web-based reporting built with best-in-class data visualization software.
  • Act as a sounding board/expert on media strategy and placement issues including media testing, media mix, target audience profiling, consumer insights, competitive understanding, and budget allocation, including integration of online and offline media
  • Provide thought leadership and tool development to elevate digital and direct media planning capabilities
  • Comfortable with brand to demand strategies
  • Spearhead new analytical initiatives to drive actionable insights for our clients
  • Oversee day-to-day operation of Campaign Analysis & Reporting and Analytical capabilities for one or more clients constantly looking for process efficiencies
  • Manage and mentor a growing and diverse team while collaborating with a variety of personalities

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA or BS Degree required plus 5 years of related work experience; Or Masters/ PhD plus 3 years of related work experience. Degree in math, economics, statistics, computer science, or related discipline preferred.
  • 3+ years of leading & managing a team of data scientists
  • Expert knowledge of Python, R, SQL and Tableau
  • Solid foundation in statistics with strong passion to stay updated with latest in the world of data science
  • Familiar with different regression and statistical modeling techniques
  • Extensive knowledge of digital/direct media and marketing analysis with a focus on digital, multi-media
  • Familiarity with Google marketing products – GCM, GA, GMP etc
  • Experience in platform optimization
  • Able to clearly distill complex research concepts/techniques into simple, relevant meaning for media planners and clients
  • Strong data storytelling and presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of ad serving platforms for targeting and ROI solutions: behavioral and contextual targeting, re-targeting, response optimization, keyword, and natural search optimization, etc.
