The Manager, Paid eCommerce Search position is a dynamic role executing on all elements of the client’s paid eCommerce initiatives, collaborating with the larger media activations team, and overseeing the work of junior staff.  In this role you will actively manage paid search activations across, Walmart, Target, grocery and drugstore channels, and emerging marketplaces in the eCommerce landscape.  The manager works autonomously, leading outcome driven performance while ensuring that key elements of client management including billing, communications and presentations are completed accurately and on time. The manager reports directly to the Associate Director and Director, participating actively in strategy development and client management. You are expected to function at a highly efficient level, utilizing advanced execution skills, mentoring junior staff, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining relationships with key clients.

In the manager role, you'll perform as a leader with minimal supervision functioning as hub for all team activities including campaign activation, budget management and financial reporting, client presentations and communication. You will be expected to know and understand the client’s product, marketing objectives and digital goals as applicable to eCommerce search in conjunction with other media activations. As manager, you will be constantly growing your expertise in eCommerce channels and campaign management tools. You will support the client and team with a data-driven approach that incorporates creative and strategic thinking help develop the tools and tactics that improve overall efficiencies and advance our practice. Day to day, this role is responsible for:

  • Leading the execution of paid search activations on eCommerce channels including, Walmart, Target and other marketplaces
  • Overseeing the team tracking and evaluating daily campaign performance analytics and driving our strategic approaches from bid management to budget pacing to deliver upon the client’s key KPIs
  • Partnering closely with internal media departments to ensure that eCommerce search activations are integrated into the total media approach including social, display, TV, and Radio integrations
  • Compiling and presenting detailed monthly reporting to clients, covering performance, optimizations, recommendations, and strategic direction
  • Managing all financials and media budgets, including pacing of all campaigns, pulling monthly spend actualizations, and completing invoice reconciliations
  • Maintaining your expertise on eCommerce management tools and User Interfaces including Amazon Advertising, Walmart Connect, Criteo, Kenshoo and Pacvue
  • Crafting POVs, standard methodologies, and key process documentation to support our teams’ ongoing development
  • Actively contributing to corporate initiatives, automation projects, process changes and roll-outs as pertains to the agency’s eCommerce practice
  • Staying current on industry trends, focusing on how changes can help improve offerings to accounts and enhance our overall practice

You'll join us because you have gained a minimum of 3 years direct paid search media management and/or eCommerce account management with 3rd party retailers (especially Amazon, Walmart, Target, Criteo, and emerging marketplaces (Instacart etc). You demonstrate:

  • Exceptional organization skills with high attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel capabilities and Powerpoint skills a must; experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools a plus
  • Exceptional analytic skills with the ability to work in an environment that is constantly evolving
  • Knowledge of the eCommerce marketplace and retail conditions that impact media outcomes
  • Familiarity with bid management tools (Skai (Kenshoo), Pacvue, DoubleClick, etc.)
  • Ambition to manage and mentor junior members of a team; prior experience as a manager a plus
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced, dynamic and collaborative environment
