Position at Wavemaker

We are looking for an innovative, strategic and engaging Executive Director to run our Client Leadership initiatives. You will serve as the most senior client contact; responsible for guiding the strategic and innovative media planning activities. You will leverage best in class capabilities (search, social, data) to deliver never been done before marketing initiatives for our clients. This is a high-profile role, leading major brand initiatives, and in some cases targeting high net worth individuals. You will report directly to the CCO. 

Your Impact:

  • Oversee a portfolio of clients and/or a single large complex client
  • Lead a better way for Category, Client or Business Opportunity by identifying growth opportunities, and driving ownership of a greater share of our clients’ problems
  • Provide leadership and vision to ensure we deliver the “Wavemaker Way of Client Leadership”
  • Be a role model for Client Leadership skills and behaviors by:
    • positively provoking to drive insights, ideas, and inspiration for our clients
    • facilitating the opportunity to capitalize on shared learnings and synergies across likeminded businesses
    • impacting consistency of team and client leadership approach; drive improved relationships within Wavemaker and across GroupM and WPP
  • Serve as an internal leader on each business: drive internal Wavemaker people initiatives while pushing to add value to our clients
  • Contribute to the agency with a key remit above and beyond client specific duties, i.e.: Liaison between a Client Leadership and Practice Area, Growth Plan Management, Drive Partnerships with WPP, Global Representative
  • Collaborate with other Executive Directors and COE leads
  • Shape WM solutions as the voice of our clients
  • Member of  Acceleration Team

Your Qualifications:

  • 15 years’ experience, mainly in leadership roles with blue chip brands leading their performance-based marketing and digital initiatives
  • Exemplifies Wavemaker values
  • Proven aility to drive business impact via client revenue growth and relationships
  • Ability to navigate C-level client conversations and hold relationship with CMO or equivalent
  • Commitment to the Wavemaker Vision
  • Presence and Point of View; Strong Voice/Leadership
  • Understands how to partner with all external constituents while leveraging digital capabilities.
