Role Summary & Impact
Looking for individual with:
- Strong critical thinking skills and a passion for uncovering insights; A provocateur who thrives working independently and asks thoughtful questions.
- Strong analytical skills with a solid foundation in statistics, i.e., a step above media math. Skillset in regression modeling is highly desired.
- Expertise in marrying syndicated consumer research with quantitative methodologies, with a background in media, advertising, marketing or consulting.
- A results-driven, highly creative, collaborative mentality.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand ins and outs of client’s business and category, keeping abreast of the latest category and media trends.
- Ability to "storytell" outcomes from research. Independently identify the best data sources & develop key insights by synthesizing primary, syndicated, and client-owned research.
- Contribute to high-visibility projects such as thought leadership and new business initiatives.
- Expert in research resources and proprietary tools, utilizing them to support consumer insights and planning principles.
- Syndicated audience data (e.g., MRI), competitive reporting data (e.g., Vivvix), client-owned reporting, and primary research
- Understand the process of budgeting & optimal channel mix allocation and can provide input to planning & client teams using industry best practices.
- Apply statistical knowledge and media math to support budget recommendations, portfolio analyses, and growth strategies.
- Visualize data in an effective and impactful way, creating powerful presentations
- Develop quantitative surveys to supplement existing data.
- Guide and elevate the application of Wavemaker planning tools.
- Maintain vendor relationships and develop fluency in their research and measurement offerings.
- Work closely with SPI Director, planning, and strategy teams on projects to drive growth for clients.
Requirements
- BA/BS or MA/MS (concentration in marketing and/or communications helpful).
- 5-7 years of experience (agency, consultancy, or client-related experience) with background in media, advertising, or marketing.
- Strong analytical skills and statistical acumen, with knowledge of data/research sources and methodologies.
- Creative and collaborative, an effective speaker who can tell a story with numbers.
- Able to work under tight timelines/pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $60,000 to $140,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
