About the Role:
 
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Clients Team to lead our talented planning and activation teams. The Clients Team will be responsible for approximately 100 clients, grouped into 4-5 smaller teams (each led by a Pod lead). In this pivotal role, you will drive client success and business growth by managing and mentoring your team, ensuring the delivery of innovative and effective media strategies. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering strong client relationships and achieving outstanding results.
 
The Clients team will manage all channels (ie biddable and non-biddable), working in close partnerships with the Choregraph data & technology team and the Nexus Performance teams.

Key Responsibilities:
 
Team Leadership & Development:
  • Build & Inspire: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing pod of advertising professionals, fostering a collaborative, supportive, and results-driven team. Create a culture of client-centricity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Delegate & Empower: Effectively delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their strengths and expertise, empowering them to take ownership and excel in their roles.
  • Performance Management:Conduct regular performance reviews, provide mentorship, constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for professional development and growth within the team
 
Client Relationship & Strategy:
  • Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate and maintain strong, trusted advisor relationships with key client stakeholders, understanding their business objectives and aligning marketing & advertising strategies with their overall goals.
  • Proactive Communication: Ensure seamless and proactive communication with clients, providing regular updates on campaign performance, industry trends, and strategic recommendations.
  • Client Satisfaction: Proactively manage client expectations, address concerns effectively, and consistently exceed client satisfaction goals.
  • Stakeholder Management: Champion internal collaboration to foster knowledge sharing, learning, development, and teamwork across departments.
  • Investment & Propriety Solutions Strategy and Partnerships: Coordinate with GroupM Investment Teams to align on strategic priorities. Engage with Media Partners on a regular basis to understand market landscapes, trends and opportunities to leverage for client growth.
 
Client Growth:
  • Client Growth: Drive revenue and commercial growth by exceeding targets, identifying new business opportunities and out of scope projects, upselling, cross-selling and expanding existing client relationships.
  • Revenue & Profitability: Drive revenue generation and profitability for the client portfolio, exceeding revenue targets, optimizing campaign performance to maximize ROI, and implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency and margin growth.
  • Commercial Acumen: Possess a strong understanding of financials, pricing models, and profitability drivers, leveraging this knowledge to make data-driven decisions that optimize client budgets and maximize the pod's financial performance.
 
Operational Excellence:
  • Resource Allocation: Effectively manage Team resources, including budget allocation, workload distribution, and team utilization, to ensure optimal efficiency and quality and timely client delivery.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve internal processes and workflows to enhance team productivity, campaign effectiveness, and client satisfaction.
  • Collaboration & Innovation: Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the pod, encouraging the team to share best practices, explore new technologies, and contribute to the agency's thought leadership.
 
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experienced management of a mid-large team agency side team (ideally 10 years +)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to campaign management and decision-making.
  • Deep understanding of advertising landscape, including various channels, pricing models, and performance metrics.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to analyze financial data, identify growth opportunities, and make data-driven decisions to optimize profitability.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, team members, and senior management.
  • Exceptional leadership, mentorship, and team-building skills, with a passion for developing and empowering others.
