Role context:

The Dynamic Creative Optimisation (Addressable Creative) team sits within a core cross-client, cross-functional department that brings together all Wavemaker technology, data and platform capabilities under one unit: Wavemaker Precision.

Wavemaker Precision is one of the largest departments in Wavemaker, bringing together nearly 180 experts in precision planning, marketing technology, analytics, data strategy, programmatic, social media, paid search, organic performance and ecommerce.

The core responsibilities of the Dynamic Creative team are as follows:

  • Responsible for the production of best in class dynamic creative templates and strategies
  • Own QA of all produced material against brand guidelines
  • Manage DCO briefs from initial creative development, audience planning and production process, reviewing and feeding back to wider teams
  • Managing monthly maintenance for our key clients
  • Project Management of DCO projects - keep agency teams up to date on status and upcoming work to ensure all requirements and deadlines are met to a high standard
  • Identifying the best DCO technology platforms to be used for specific strategies and consulting on Dynamic Creative campaigns
  • Manage DCO client relationships, campaign and testing roadmaps


The Dynamic Creative Manager role can broadly be split into two key areas of responsibility:

Firstly, you will be responsible for driving and build the messaging matrix alongside audience planning and insights. You will have full responsibility for ensuring that the matrix and DCO brief fulfills all needs to strategically inform successful creative execution, media delivery and measurement. You will be in charge of both translating client requirements into implementation spec and the deployment of these implementations (variation changes, data sheet management, imagery alteration, etc)

Secondly, you will operate a single point of contact for key milestones and deliverables, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. Working closely with Wavemaker client leads and with the support of other DCO members, you will contribute to client projects, feeding back of client briefs, building strategy decks, outlining dynamic creative decision trees, working with dynamic creative reporting and creating slides to for internal Wavemaker and client teams.

  • Help to refine and clarify and interpret client briefs
  • Able to build strong relationships with client teams, responsible for communication and education on the team ways of working
  • Demonstrate strong project management skills, taking projects from brief through to delivery
  • Be seen as the technical expert and educate agency teams on DCO capabilities and opportunities
  • Be hyper-organised and have good project management skills
  • Skilled in effectively explaining technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Actively seek out new trends, industry news / updates and product launches and share with wider team
  • Have a strategic mindset, supported with a strong ability to interpret data.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Be a team player but also be able to work independently
  • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be a self-starter.


Technical skills


  • An understanding of the data and technology landscape within the media industry (E.g. How Ad Servers, DSPs, DMPs work)
  • Understanding of and experience with other DCO ad server technologies; Google, Google Studio, Amazon/Sizmek, FlashTalking, Jivox and Adform.
  • Problem-solving skills, reporting and presentation creation of findings
  • Advanced user of Excel, Power Point and Word, for data analysis and presentations
  • Strong data interpretation, manipulation and presentation skills



  • Hands on technical experience using Ad Server Technologies
  • Experience within campaign management (Doubleclick and Sizmek preferable)
  • HTML, CSS and JS experience
  • Industry knowledge of the wider digital landscape – display, social, search, OOH and video channels
  • Understanding of digital advertising and associated technological principles (e.g. ad Media planning and media strategy experience
  • Proven experience working on digital display campaigns, in particular dynamic/ programmatic, from inception to completion
  • Experience and understanding of tag management systems such as GTM and how to implement tags.
