Planning Account Director - TUI

 

Overview of role

 

We’re looking for a smart and enthusiastic experienced Account Director to join our TUI/ Crystal Ski team and help run the UK’s biggest, most exciting and industry leading travel account.

 

You will be responsible for the delivery of annual and day to day planning across TUI Masterbrand and Crystal Ski, with an exposure to senor clients on a regular basis. The main focus of the role is brand strategy and planning but AD will be involved in a fully integrated BR/DR planning process (e.g. top line budget splits and having a full holistic view of all the channels), the role includes close collaboration with the digital team, business science, creative systems, CID, creative agency and internal media planning teams.

We look for someone who is a quick learner, can work independently as well as a part of the team, running complex account.

You will report into Senior Account Director.

Measures of success

 

In three months, you would have:

  • Formed a supportive bond with your SAD to make sure you both get what you need from your ways of working, met extended TUI internal teams
  • Understood the breadth of TUI portfolio, where your products contribute, and what the biggest challenges to address are.
  • Started to understand market and audience behaviours and have some interesting observations to chat about with the clients.
  • Delivered strategic and planning work required within that time period
  • Met the key clients, worked on some responses with the team and got to grips with our processes.
  • Asked as many questions as possible
  • Had your induction lunch at Ciao Bella with the team.

 

 

 

In six months, you would have:

  • Delivered a response, with killer source of growth analysis, data and evidence led insights, ambitious innovation opportunities to push things forward.
  • Spotted an opportunity for us to do things better, because of your fresh perspective.
  • Agreed objectives with your SAD to ensure constant progression.
  • Got involved in wider BU workstreams

 

 

In 12 months, you would have:

  • Stamped ownership on key areas of the business and gained core client trust and understanding
  • Delivered annual planning on TUI & Cski
  • Learnt new skill

 

Responsibilities of the role

 

  • Delivering best in class comms planning for TUI & Crystal Ski, working in partnership with the other AD to ensure the entire TUI team and client product portfolio run smoothly
  • Maintaining positive relationships with other MCM teams working on the client account
  • Owning your own briefs from strategy to optimised in-flight results, PCA
  • Mining through research, data and results to uncover insights, opportunities and implications
  • Leading implementation briefings to our Connect and investment teams
  • Continually learning about better planning and rigorous measurement frameworks
  • Brilliant Basics: have some great client relationships, lead stand up meetings and project manage your workstreams
  • Ensure detail, accuracy and quality of all deliverables
  • Developing your team, setting and monitoring KPIs

 

What you will need

 

  • Solid media planning knowledge and curiosity (as well as a curiosity to understand consumers, people and changing travel marketplace)
  • Experience in dealing with senior clients and running highly performing and motivated team
  • An enthusiastic, and collaborative nature
  • Strong organisation skills, ability to work in agile ways of working (MCM will provide relevant training)
  • The ability to be proactive and unafraid to share opinions
  • The know-how to look at a wide set of sources for evidence
  • Be up for getting stuck in
