The role

 

EssenceMediacom have worked with NBCUniversal for many years and have continued to grow and evolve the relationship. The client is split across a number of business operations - Universal Theatrical (Cinema), Home Entertainment (Blu-Ray & DVD), Digital Distribution (Digital Movie Downloads & Rentals), Content Group (Digital, Blu-Ray & DVD), TV Networks (E!, SyFy & Universal Channel) & hayu (reality TV subscription VOD service).

 

The Global team oversees local agency teams in EMEA, LATAM and APAC in over 20 countries and is continuously expanding into further markets.

 

The Media Planner will play a crucial role in supporting the team, working specifically within Universal’s Home Entertainment and Digital Distribution division (collectively called Home Window).

 

This is an opportunity to work with a thrilling, fast-paced client, responsible for releasing incredible films including (most recently) Oppenheimer, Super Mario Bros, Kung Fu Panda 4 - and there are many more fantastic films in the pipeline.

 

The Media Planner will not only support the planning team day-to-day but also be responsible for client relationship maintenance, account and local team co-ordination and insight support for this major EssenceMediacom client.

Accountabilities include:

-          Support managers with offline media planning and activation

-          Assist with DE, FR & AUS market co-ordination including organising weekly calls

-          Help QA media plans and budget trackers to ensure they are client-ready

-          Own key workstreams including competitive activity, audience analysis, media landscape updates and newsletters

-          Update the campaign status sheet ahead of client meetings, prepare agenda and ensure the team are aligned

-          Support conversations on creative assets and deadlines

-          Support and lead any finance queries per title alongside managers

-          Keep track of all deadlines per title and ensure any updates/changes are incorporated

-          Learn how to use GroupM and MediaCom proprietary tools and systems relevant to the account for insight, planning and finance.

-          Become a team champion for relevant industry insight and data tools (TGI, YouGov, Comscore etc

 

A bit about your skills and experience:

-          Proven experience working across online and offline media, preferably on a multi-market basis

-          A genuine enthusiasm for the entertainment industry

-          Confidence and professionalism with strong communications skills

-          Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads across multiple Universal clients

-          A keen team player with eagerness to support and learn

-          Excellent attention to detail and an ability to interrogate data

-          Strong computer skills – especially across G-Suite

-          Pro-active and inquisitive – with a passion to grow and embody EssenceMediaom’s culture
