Role context:

The Ad Operations team sits in the Data and Technology department within our WM Precision function.

The Ad Operations team is the foundation of the Data and Technology department, a team of highly trained campaign specialists, responsible for all digital campaign trafficking and tagging across some of the agency’s biggest clients.


The Ad Operations Senior Executive’s role can broadly be split into two key areas of responsibility:

Firstly, you will be responsible for effective campaign management for any number of agency clients, over the campaign lifecycle, including set up, execution, delivery, monitoring and troubleshooting. You will work across all major ad server platforms, third-party vendor tagging, and other clients’ data and media vendor tags.

Secondly, you will be account teams’ first point of contact when it comes to clients’ Ad Operations, providing direct subject matter expertise. You will immerse yourself in clients’ structures, teams, and briefing processes to build great understanding of both the agency and client business.

Core Responsibilities:

Operational excellence:

  • Trafficking campaigns for the agency clients tagging (set up of campaigns, placements)
  • Event tagging management (owned as well as 3rd party and publishers)
  • Monitor campaign delivery, trouble-shooting campaigns, investigating delivery discrepancies, providing updates to internal teams
  • Developing and utilising your understanding of the digital media landscape, campaign lifecycle and KPIs
  • Collaborating with account teams to work on digital campaign briefs to determine and flash out trafficking and tagging requirements
  • Support team members on complex campaign execution, escalation to internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to and champion best practice and quality assurance


Technical skills


  • Competent user of ad server technology – either Campaign Manager 360, Sizmek, Adform
  • Intermediate user of MS data tools (Excel, Access, Visual Basic)
  • Basic understanding on digital advertising and associated technological principles – e.g. ad serving, tagging, web analytics (GA), attribution, etc.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset
  • Curious mind and attention to detail – able to follow processes and spot errors
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to demonstrate the enthusiasm to work under pressure within a fast-paced digital environment
