The Role Objective

We are looking for a Risk and Controls Analyst to join our existing EMEA Risk and Controls team based in London. The role will work cross-functionally with multiple geographies, functions, and employees of diverse backgrounds. The right candidate will have up to 2-3 years of experience at a multinational company (industry or consulting experience in ethics and compliance, business process improvement, risk management, or internal audit) and a keen interest in developing a career in the area.

The objectives are:

  • To support the EMEA Risk and Controls function in a fast-paced environment and work cross-functionally with multiple geographies, functions, and employees of diverse backgrounds.
  • To champion innovation in the area of risk and controls.

RESPONSABILITIES

In all their responsibilities, the EMEA Risk and Controls Analyst will support the EMEA Risk and Controls team in coordinating, implementing, and monitoring regional risk and controls programme.

  • Cascade relevant GroupM and WPP policies to the region.
  • Facilitate the annual/quarterly compliance certifications process (Code of Conduct, Disclosure of Interest, Letter of Representation).
  • Coordinate the annual Business Risk map submissions for the region.
  • Perform periodic regional monitoring of the Gift and Entertainment process.
  • Monitor and follow up on the markets’ submissions in requirements such as CEO expenses, Compliance Risk Assessments, etc.
  • Coordinate the SOX self-certification process across the operating companies in the region.

Other responsibilities

  • Ownership and administration of compliance systems, including MS teams and shared folders, at the regional level.
  • Liaise with IT support when users experience technical issues with the compliance tools.
  • Prepare reports and presentations (for audit results, issues and remediation actions, trainings, etc.).
  • Maintain trackers to monitor and analyse the status of audits and other activities.
  • Assist regional management in ad hoc activities in relation to Risk and Controls function.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, IT or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Up to 2-3 years of experience (industry or consulting experience in ethics and compliance, business process improvement, risk management, or internal audit) at a multinational company.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Power Point, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team-oriented approach.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail
  • A willingness to learn new skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in media and advertising with knowledge of core business processes is a plus.
  • Fluency in foreign languages relevant to EMEA region is a plus.
