What is the role?

Due to the growth of existing clients and new client acquisition, we have created new opportunities within our Paid Search team. We are looking for a Paid Search Account Director with proven experience in PPC. The clients we partner with are made up of UK and Global companies across different verticals such as Finance and Auto working across some very prestigious Brands. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering best-in-class Paid Search strategies for our clients and help them achieve their Business objectives.


Core Competencies and skills required


  • Positive attitude & most importantly genuine enthusiasm
  • A PPC specialist with strong channel experience across traditional Search
  • Analytically minded with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
  • Eager to improve knowledge and skills through continuous training
  • Organised, with strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • You are pro-active and driven to deliver best in class planning and output for your client partners



  • As we’re currently working remotely (in line with government guidelines) a large focus will be placed on communicating effectively while working and supporting team members


Client Relationship

  • An individual that shows confidence and a willingness to improve and grow client relationships


Team Management

  • An individual with experience in managing and training team members, responsible for their development, with clear split of roles & responsibilities by level inc. progression objective setting with a clear vision


Technical Skills

  • Comfortable with navigating through the different platforms, UIs and third-party tools i.e. SA360, GA360
  • Certified in Google Ads Search and Search Ads 360
  • Proficient using features of Powerpoint, Outlook and Excel


Role responsibilities

  • Manage all client media briefs ensuring appropriate budgets are secured and clear and achievable KPIs are agreed
  • Ensure Paid Search insights and learnings are applied to all channel responses to client briefs
  • Define best in class channel approach, with the right use of data to inform optimisation strategies and improve account performance in line with Business Objectives
  • Develop Quarterly test & learn roadmaps for all client products with clear timings and expected outcomes
  • Ensure Best-in-class Search execution with a particular focus on:
    • Accurate analysis of the PPC campaigns and their delivery
    • Planning and forecasting
    • Test & Learn implementation
    • Accurate results & actionable insights
  • Ensure full adoption of the different tools i.e. tracking, optimisation, analytics whilst understanding the different strengths & limitations of each
  • Own client communication for their accounts showcasing high degree of proactivity and outside if the box thinking during the planning and optimisation process
  • Work with the internal client team to shape & inform client strategy
  • Work closely with key Media Partners on product developments and account growth opportunities
  • Build relationships with key partners to ensure technology and automation is at the forefront of what we are doing
  • Ensure 100% financial accuracy throughout the planning & buying process

Reporting Into

For personal development and day to day management you will report into the Paid Search Business Director. 


Direct Reports

1 Account Manager + 1 Senior Account Executive


What you will learn in this role

  • Working across different client partners and verticals (ranging from multimillion £ ad spend to smaller sized accounts)
  • More insightful, output based client calls
  • Advanced presentation skill techniques
  • Expert in using automation to bring time efficiencies into the workplace through reporting, optimisation, scripting and bidding strategies
  • Understanding of the role of Audiences in Paid Search and the activation principles through 1st party data, RLSA and automated audience segments.
  • Client utilising advanced forms of data to fuel their bidding strategy decisions
  • Honest feedback
