Account Manager - Connections Planning
Description
Role: Account ManagerDepartment/Team: Connections Planning
Role Objective
We are recruiting for an Account Manager level, exceptional and driven media planner, to join our connections planning team.
You will be working across Marks & Spencer a key account at Mindshare. Specifically Marks and Spencer splits into two client divisions: Food and Clothing & Home. Supplementary to M&S you will be helping to support on Mindshare’s pro bono account Tommy’s.
Across Connections Planning you will work as the gate keeper of the brief and lead on coordinating input from the wider Mindshare team (Strategy, Buying channel teams, Live Planning, Data & Insights, and many more). More info on the two divisions of M&S as follows:
On Food you will work on helping to boost seasonal food moments across the year (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Halloween, Xmas etc.), ensuring M&S is considered as the go-to for quality food.
M&S Foods is one of the most iconic British brands in the market, from “This is not just” to Percy Pig, with a heritage spanning across 139 years. As a Planner, you are central to the success of M&S Foods, you’ll be helping to shape their media approach through your strategic thinking and campaign planning, to tackle different challenges in a fast paced industry. This varies from delivering the biggest advertising moment of the year, Christmas, to creating campaigns that show off the journey of food from farms to the foodhall, to ensuring we attract customers into the Sparks app. Underpinning these campaigns, M&S are entering an exciting new phase of transformation, as they aim to increase the level of personalisation that is deployed across their marketing, meaning we have a lot of opportunity to refresh the way we approach our audiences.
From a Clothing & Home perspective you will be helping to shape the reputation of the brand with a focus on driving Clothing & Home style perceptions. Clothing & Home also has a strong seasonal focus, with emphasis on campaigns across Spring/Summer, Autumn/Winter collections and Xmas. Clothing & Home is a successful growth area within the M&S business, they are building on their credentials for style, alongside their established trust for quality. In this role you will be central to crafting responses across the Clothing and Home BUs (Business Units) – specifically Womenswear, Menswear, Kidswear, Beauty, Loungewear/Lingerie and Home.
Tommy’s Baby Charity is Mindshare’s official charity partner and one that we have worked closely with for several decades. Tommy’s ultimate aim is to find causes and treatments to help save babies’ lives. They work in three key areas; research within Guys and St. Thomas’ hospital on the leading causes and treatments to preventing loss, pregnancy support and information, support and tools for those that have suffered a loss either through miscarriage, stillbirth or premature birth.
This role would be supporting the Business Director/Client Lead on the account, managing both negotiations of pro bono media space from key partners, supporting Tommy’s in a marketing consultancy role as well as pulling together responses for their campaigns. As well as feeling good about supporting the great work Tommy’s do, this role is brilliant in getting exposure to the broader agency as we are constantly talking to different department and borrowing time from key players in the agency to help support our work on the account.
