About the Team

GroupM provides products and services to the GroupM agencies. These range from technology solutions through to training programmes. Conceptually the GroupM team exists to facilitate efficiencies in the Agencies themselves and provide thought leadership to them.

The Investment Team is one of the core units in GroupM with a primary focus on the digital space. Teams within this department drive strategies, technology innovation, efficiency and new revenue across the digital environment working closely with the different Agency teams. The core aim is to allow agencies to have their individual USPs whilst using the size and buying power of the combined group to drive more cost-effective and better-managed deals.

The Investment Team is an extension of trading. It services the media needs of trading companies like Xaxis, Finecast and Programmatic Services. This group use the size and reach of the trading desk buys to negotiate the best terms with all media partners (publishers) to drive media strategy for each unit (and the advertisers they service). This is across video, display, native, and includes executional practice via programmatic guaranteed.

About the Role

This role will sit within the GroupM Advanced Media team; responsible for the successful buying, delivery and commercial relationships of the supply and campaigns for the Finecast portfolio across key Broadcasters, CTV and digital publishers.

The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator, with strong communication, organisational and negotiation skills who can identify potential obstacles and challenges for a positive solution. The candidate will have a proven history in building brilliant relationships both internally and externally and will have relationships with Broadcaster and Publisher sales teams.

The role supports and interlinks into multiple functions in the media team and across GroupM buying units across business development, trading, analysis and commercial operations. The Media Manager will report to the Advanced Media Partnerships Manager and support and help develop the Media Executive; they will work closely with Operational counterparts in the Finecast business and be a fundamental part of our relationships with external suppliers.

The ideal candidate will have experience or knowledge of video portfolio management in the AV, Digital or programmatic space either within their agency traditional AV Investment (buying) teams with experience in the overall buying, deal management and processes in TV or publisher supply management specialising in Broadcast and premium video.


  • Check daily pacing of portfolio and flag any issues to publishers and management
  • Allocating and booking supply based on demand revenues
  • Tracking delivery versus key deals and flagging any concerns
  • Day to day communication with publishers over live campaigns and becoming the main point of contact for delivery and performance analysis
  • Monitoring and updating reports for live campaigns
  • Spend and deliver reconciliation across the year/deal period externally with key partners and internally with finance
  • Management of creative approval process with publishers
  • Build knowledge of the market through regular communications and meetings with existing and new supply partners
  • Understand the Finecast product and what improvements we can achieve to our supply
  • Work closely with Operational counterparts to collaborate on resolving any technical issues
