Our approach

Our ambition is to drive Good Growth for our clients.

Good Growth is about delivering growth that is enduring and is considerate of people and planet. Media is a powerful force, and we need to be mindful of the responsibility that it brings. We help our clients make better decisions by ensuring we use media in a trusted, inclusive and sustainable way. We recognise that in order to drive Good Growth, we need to place people at the heart of everything we do. Understanding people, not demographics allows us to place media meaningfully into their lives.

Good Growth is a big ambition – one which inspires change for the industry but also for our agency and we achieve this through our values of Energy, Empathy and Impact.

You will be under the guidance of some of the smartest specialists in the industry and supported with our robust training program.

You don’t need to have a deep understanding of media or advertising at this point. We’re looking for individuals who have the potential to be our performance media stars of the future; a good attitude, a real interest in digital and advertising, and experience studying or working in a fast-paced and intellectually challenging environment are the core requirements. A degree is preferable, but absolutely not a prerequisite for this role.

About the role

On a day-to-day basis you will:

  • Learn to identify and act upon budget optimizations requirements
  • Learn how Paid Search campaigns are tracked and measured across different channels
  • Understand what your client’s key performance indicators (KPI) are and how to monitor these
  • Understand the ins and outs of Paid Search, and become a real expert on the channel within the team.
  • Become confident in how to set up Paid Search campaign campaigns from start to finish.
  • Identify the optimization levers available to improve performance to meet your client’s KPIs.
  • Understand the approach to preparing a media plan in response to a client’s brief.
  • Deliver client reporting and analyse campaign results with a view to developing actionable insights.
  • Working with media owners such as Google, Bing, and other key ad tech suppliers to receive support with paid media campaigns.
  • Complete the necessary specialist qualifications, e.g. Google Skillshop.
  • Ensure exceptional finance management by accurately completing the Mindshare finance process for your clients, including booking and reconciling activity within deadline and address finance queries

About you

To be successful in this role, you’ll be able to demonstrate:

  • Analytically minded, with the ability to identify trends within data sets
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Able to communicate effectively, and work as part of a team
  • You can explain your ideas effectively. You’re a good talker who can get people on-board with your ideas or make a strong reasoned argument where you disagree.
  • Experience using basic features of PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel (e.g. Creating and formatting presentations, sorting and filtering data, creating graphs and tables)
  • You can think about the numbers and are interested in data. You’ll be able to give some examples of where you’ve used large datasets
  • A can-do attitude, a desire to grow and ambition to achieve are KEY
  • Previous digital marketing Paid Search experience, working with Google AdWords, Google Analytics, SA360, Microsoft Ads, etc. is desirable but not necessary
  • If you can speak a language additional to English, that’s a plus! We have 28 languages in our London office, and work with a lot of clients all over the world.

Committed to Diversity & Inclusion

We have a big dream at Mindshare, to become the most inclusive place to work in the country! This will take time but the whole agency is passionate about making it a reality. To support this, we currently have 8 Employee Resource Groups available for our people to join and be a part of including, Roots, PrideM, Women in Business, Enable, Declassify, 0Borders, ADAM and Working Parents. These groups hold the agency to account for making progress and, along with our Mental Health Allies, design and lead events and initiatives that help us create a welcoming environment to all and a place where everyone can be their most confident self.
