Role Context

 

We are recruiting for Account Manager level, exceptional and driven media planner to join our Connections Planning team.

If so, this is the role for you! You will be working on the Ford account, which is one of UK’s biggest advertisers. Mindshare are in a very privileged position as Ford’s lead media agency, holding an influential and trusted relationship that we see Connection Planners being pivotal to. We work across the full breadth of Ford’s services including Passenger Vehicles, Commercial Vehicles, Fleet and their finance arm Ford Money.  

 

Supporting Media Planning & Buying, Mindshare is just one of the WPP agencies that works within Ford’s dedicated agency GTB. You’ll be part of both agencies and their retrospective offices with an allocate Ford client day taking place at GTB. 

 

In terms of your day to day, your time will be spent mainly on campaign planning, client facing account management and supporting general finance processes. You will have ownership of high-profile campaigns working with channel specialists to make those plans a reality. This involves everything from defining the approach to audience, designing the connections plan across all relevant touchpoints as well as working on content creation and measurement. There will also be opportunity to support the development of the team’s AE with their own campaigns. 

 

About you:

 

  • You would have at proven experience working in media planning/buying agencies.
  • Automotive experience is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • You show a breadth of understanding across all media channels and can confidently discuss the role these play as part of a comms strategy.
  • You are a tool ‘wizard’…well not quite, but excellent working knowledge of audience research & planning tools (such as TGI and Touchpoints) is a must
  • You can draw smart insight from data and articulate clear, actionable implications for media
  • You show a passion for media as well as an understanding of what makes a great media campaign - always attempting to do the best work possible.
  • You are an excellent team player as you will be working with people across a broad range of disciplines and experience levels.
  • You demonstrate great attention to detail and accuracy in every output, as well as strong project management skills.
  • You are open-minded, flexible and embracing of agile ways of working.

 

About the role:

 

  • Leading campaign planning across multiple channels and managing media budgets
  • Designing and presenting an approach that outlines how and where we will connect with defined audiences in media
  • Day to day management of campaigns as a key liaison between clients, channel specialists & GTB account managers
  • Supporting the Ford of Europe central team with day to day requests and finance processes
  • Supporting Account Executive in day to day and their own campaigns

Members of the team understand consumer trends and are able to translate insights and strategic direction into actionable media solutions. They interact with a wide range of other teams including Intelligence and Strategic Planning, the specialist channel teams that execute the media, and the Live Planning team that optimises across all media channels.
