We are looking for a
Technical Lead
The role will work within the Global Product team, supporting the GroupM organisation and agencies with the administration, configuration, adoption, maintenance, and optimal usage of Nexus platform technologies. This will involve working closely with the central product development and deployment teams in London and New York, as well as third party development and engineering teams, and with the local market GroupM and agency teams. This will be a management role, with a team of direct reports, who will support the operations.
We are looking for a process-driven candidate with the right mix of team management experience, technical capabilities, and communication skills to fill the role, supporting the effective rollout and optimal usage of global platform products and solutions. The successful candidate will become the foundational member of a growing team; building out processes that will help us scale, acting as the bridge across the platforms, and supporting the user lifecycle from the first interaction with the platform to successful activation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and scale a team of operatives who will support the users in their set up and configuration of the GroupM Nexus platforms. This will include monitoring performance, setting goals, leading training and upskilling, and utilisation.
- Administrate the ticketing system to provide a comprehensive overview of trends across the platforms and track issues to resolution.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the platform features, best practices, and upcoming developments to apply in the platform deployment.
- Manage client and trader onboarding processes to ensure proper technical setup and client satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key contacts in each market, serving as the primary point of contact for all configuration and operational matters related to our products and services.
- Conduct regular status meetings and provide ongoing support to markets to ensure a high level of client satisfaction.
- Work closely with the users to understand their business needs and to translate these into feature sets available in the platforms.
- Collaborate with product development, engineering, and product management to ensure successful implementation, adoption, and maintenance of our products.
- Act as the conduit between the offshore team, markets and the global nexus product team, communicating any key trends, issues or flags raised across the platforms.
- Monitor and analyze market usage and performance metrics to identify opportunities for increase feature usage and the deployment of optimal work practices.
- Manage user administration, access permissioning and role management across platform and systems.
- Develop a good knowledge of key principles related to programmatic advertising and media planning.
- Serve as a technical subject matter contact, acting as an escalation point for the offshore team, providing guidance to markets on technical issues and solutions.
- Support the development of internal and external training materials (instructional videos, presentations, website content) in coordination with our product release cycles.
- Set up and maintain internal service level agreement standards on response times for user requests through our help desk and take responsibility for support for P1 critical issue resolution.
About you:
- Experience in building and managing a team of technical account managers (platform specialists) and technical product specialists.
- Client-facing technical account management experience in advertising or media planning.
- Experience with advertising and media planning technologies (ad servers, programmatic platforms, data management platforms with hands on experience with DSPs (Xandr, DV360, The Trade Desk, Amazon, etc.).
- Technically literate with exposure to Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related tasks.
- Knowledge of databases, querying languages (SQL), and cloud computing platforms (GCP, AWS, etc.)
- Able to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences and the ability to translate technical jargon into easily understandable formats.
- Strong problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, particularly in English.
- Proficient in handling technical, strategic, analytical, and interpersonal problems simultaneously.
- Comfortable working with analysts and engineers, interpreting data and communicating results.
- Skilled in building relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Inquisitive nature, skilled in identifying and solving problems with conflicting constraints.
- Proficient in numerical analysis.
- Experience in applying artificial intelligence and machine learning in digital media advertising.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities.
