The Opportunity

As an Account Manager you will provide support in the design, management, and execution of a variety of primary (quantitative and qualitative) projects, secondary research projects and even delve into digital insights. This role will give you the opportunity to work on a variety of bespoke projects under the direction of a Research Director but also own client relationships and regular reporting deliverables, working primarily with the Government Cabinet Office team at Mindshare, focusing on the big issues of the day such as COVID and climate change

This is an opportunity to work in a unique environment, a research team within a media agency which offers an abundance of opportunities to get closer to clients and expand your knowledge of how communications are brought to life and activated. At the same time, your projects will focus on getting under the skin of human behaviour to understand larger issues impacting the world our clients operate in, whether this is understanding the impact of Brexit, tracking behaviour as we emerge out of lockdown, or exploring the latest cultural trends.

 

About you

  • Proven relevant experience in account management, marketing, media, or research
  • Analytical mindset and ability and an understanding of how data helps us understand behaviour
  • Ability to analyse and interpret information in a creative and interesting fashion
  • The ability to tell a good story
  • Mature and confident style – enthusiastic about presenting and sharing your insights
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A good degree or qualification in relevant field

 

A big advantage to have

  • A passion for working with data with a technical appetite to explore relevant data software such as Excel, SPSS, Q
  • Research background, particularly in understanding audiences, behaviour change or decision making
  • Experience working with quantitative, qualitative, and social listening research data and techniques
  • The ability to synthesise complex information and communicate this clearly for different audiences

 

About the role

A day in the life in the Insights team is ever-changing. You’ll work with data from a variety of sources to build an understanding of different audiences, building stories around their values, attitudes and behaviours, extracting key data to create a compelling story.

  • Support the research and insight requirements for a range of Cabinet Office campaigns, working with the Business Director to provide support on both ad hoc and longer-term projects. This will include:
    • Relevant sector deep dives
    • Understanding cultural dynamics and relevant trends
    • Understanding of audiences and decision-making behaviours
  • Sharing of learning in inspiring, fresh and creative ways and ensuring identified insights will make a genuine difference to client questions
  • Supporting the Mindshare account teams working on Cabinet Office campaigns with audience and insights work – particularly around big planning responses

 

  • Support the wider Insights team on a range of different projects including audience profiling and segmentation, brand reputation analysis, measuring campaign effectiveness, influencer identification, decision making and behaviour change, and exploring consumer attitudes across a range of topics

 

  • Play a key role in the overall design and execution of primary research projects

 

  • Responsible for formatting your findings and insights into final deliverables for our clients and you will support the team in presenting these insights

 

  • Other responsibilities include working on exciting new business pitches

You will gain experience with the latest media insight tools around and speak to people first-hand to investigate why they say and do the things they do. You will develop a wide range of research techniques from desk research through to bespoke quant/qual and digital insight projects.
