PURPOSE

The purpose of this document is to help prospective team members better understand the role and responsibilities with the position of Measurement Executive at OpenDoor, WPP’s bespoke global operating model for Amazon.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are searching for a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our OpenDoor team as a Measurement Executive. This is a [Full-time/Part-time/Contract] position based in [Location]. This role plays a crucial part in supporting WPP's mission to deliver consistency, delivery excellence and best in class service for Amazon in every country across its diverse businesses, including XCM, Prime Video, and RMI.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist on the delivery of measurement and insight projects from beginning to end
  • Be involved in a variety of work, spanning:
    • Liaising with key stakeholders throughout the measurement process (such as suppliers and internal teams at OpenDoor).
    • Helping to analyse data sets and draw useful conclusions from the insight, presenting these conclusions most appropriately.
    • Presenting insights back to clients and agency teams in a clear manner.
  • Provide research and insight support on new business pitches to discover and create impactful insights that contribute to agency success.
  • Autonomously design, create and produce accurate campaign performance reports from client specification.
  • Understand the full range of digital performance metrics, their typical applications and limitations; use this knowledge to ensure reports are correctly configured to meet the needs of both internal and external clients.
  • Become an expert user of measurement techniques such as marketing mix modelling, qual & quant research, digital attribution.
  • Develop a core understanding of digital advertising and ad serving technology (e.g. ad serving, vendor ad servers, web analytics, attribution, etc.) and gain accreditation where relevant.
  • Develop a fluent understanding of advanced Excel and become a competent user of the of all visualisation tools available at OpenDoor (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Data Studio, Omniscope, etc) and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Be an active member of relevant industry bodies (e.g. Media Research Group), and attend their training and events where applicable, as well as attending other wider industry events.
  • Learn about the commercial side of research projects, including working to client budgets and collaborating with external suppliers.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • An understanding of different types of quantitative and qualitative research methods and using data to understand consumer behaviour.
  • Become an experienced user of audience planning tools (such as TGI, YouGov Profiles), social listening tools (such as Brandwatch and Meltwater), and industry insight tools and resources (such as Mintel, Foresight Factory, Statista etc.).
  • Develop expertise in the production of research materials such as questionnaires/discussion guides for clients and work with all stakeholders to ensure relevant and useful.
  • An analytical mindset, with an ability to identify trends and patterns within research data sets, following guidelines and using judgement to assess the quality of data.
  • An ability to examine data sets and be able to present data back in the most appropriate manner

  • The ability to represent OpenDoor in a professional manner to clients, media owners and suppliers – with high levels of enthusiasm and showing you care about the business.
  • Develop an understanding of relevant third-party suppliers and identify which ones are most appropriate to support on projects.
  • A good understanding of the project management approach needed to deliver research and insight projects and become confident at understanding outputs at each stage of the process (briefing form, proposal, RACI, timelines, reporting etc.).
